Why would they do a new WvW map after the last time? Besides, they just did a major update.

PvP. Eh, I don’t care. Haven’t cared about it in a long time. Still, you get new Elite specs to play with.

Dungeons. Are you doing a meme?

Fractals. They literally just released one and will probably continue making new ones throughout LS4.

Maps and new Elite Specs. This is what I care about. They’ve given us one more map tham HoT and this expac costs less. As far as I’m concerned, these already make it worth it. Apparently, they’re the largest maps yet, so I’m very happy about this. GW2 for me is about exploring new places and participating in cool open world events. I do fractals, but it’s not at the top of my totem poll for gameplay enjoyment. This expansion is pretty much tailored to my gameplay preferences.

Can’t wait and I’m preordering as soon as I get home.

So because you don’t care, it is not important. Isn’t that a bit selfish? I don’t do dungeons and fractals, but I think it is still weird it’s not with it… Lets not forget the big WvW update is nothing special and just based on rewards and a backpack wooooooohoooooooo

It’s not selfish to want a game to cater to your interests if you intend on spending money on it. The biggest criticisms I and MANY others had about HoT was that it only had 4 maps whilst reinventing amd creating a bunch of systems. This expac seems a lot more content rich for people like me. And I hate to come off this way, but I suspect that people like me are probably by far the majority of GW2’s player base. If you feel they aren’t catering to your preferences (though this should have beem apparent a long time ago), then you should play something else. There are tons of amazing games out there.

There is nothing weird about this. HoT did things similarly, except they added the new Desert Borderlands and PvP leagues. We still have PvP leagues and given the community response, I don’t think hardcore WvWs evem want new maps. Let’s not forget that new elite specs are content for WvW and PvP as well, so that’s like a an update to those modes.

Finally, Anet polled the community on what they wanted them to do next for WvW. Rewards won out. They literally asked the community what they wanted and then did it. Maybe it’s not what you wanted, but tough. I don’t care either way since I don’t do WvW. I will say that I’m glad they made them long term rewards as a way to reward the committed player base that kept that mode afloat.

For me and many like me, this is exactly what we want. I’m sorry it’s not for you though. I know it sucks when a game you enjoy goes in a different direction than you want, but I honestly think GW2 has been going this way for a long time.

As others have mentioned though, lots of the stuff you want will see updates throughout the next season. They’re not really tied to expansions. You can always wait on the expac and buy it when/if Anet introduces more content down the line that interests you. That’s the great thing about the game being B2P, you don’t have to feel obligated to stick around when things aren’t interesting you.

I like the idea of mounts because they make it easier to navigate the in-between areas of waypoints. Hugely beneficial in some of the Orr maps.

Didn’t really see enough to give much feedback. Mounts… blah. My concern from watching the announcement program is that the maps look like they may be more multi tiered massive jumping puzzles similar to dry top and HoT maps which I hate. I hope that’s not the case. I’ll wait till I participate in the open beta weekend to see if I’ll pre-purchase or not.

Well… That’s a shame.

Personally I loved what HoT did with the maps. I hope for more from the new ones, and that seems to be what I am getting.

I think the mounts look fun. I wonder if we’re getting to use them in previous maps. So what if we have waypoints? We get more fun ways to travel and explore. GW2 has always done the travelling animations very well, they feel floaty and heavy, yet agile and bouncy, and that’s all animation work. If they can put the same amount of effort into the mounts, I’m game.

I’m glad you enjoy those style of maps as others have stated they do as well. In my case I wouldn’t really describe it as a shame though if that is what we are getting. As I stated I’ll wait to see what is going on during the open beta. If they are HoT style maps again I’ll simply pass on buying the expansion. I’ll be slightly disappointed that Anet’s newest product doesn’t appeal to me but no big deal really. I’m just one customer so I’m sure Anet will be fine financially if I don’t buy it.

Honestly, unless they remove about 50-75% of the waypoints in this game, I can’t take mounts seriously. Why would you EVER need them besides to get pass some cheesy mechanic that will be in the new zones? (Hint: you won’t)

Usually after you waypoint you start running for your target location.

Now you’ll get there quicker than before.

It’s there, and if you use it it’ll benefit you, but you don’t have to. So yeah, you don’t NEED it, but you’ll still get from A to B quicker than if you’d run.

Unless their speed boost is only 40% or something pathetic like that, in that case, keep your boots.

It’s not selfish to want a game to cater to your interests if you intend on spending money on it.

This bit is actually something I hadn’t considered, and it would be very meaningful if the shoe was on the other foot.

By keeping many (most?) of the Fractal, WvW, PvP roll outs mixed in with LW and live ‘Feature Pack’ roll outs, when it comes time to pay for the expansion, there is a disconnect between when you are paying and when you are getting things you care about.

I mean, when we bought HoT, we bought what was in HoT, and then everything that came after it until now. Well, with a little help from people who buy gems with cash along the way. I suppose if you can make the mental shift there, you are getting the new big zones and mounts and 9 new specs, plus some other things that maybe didn’t dig into, and then LW4 and continued Fractals and WvW/PvP live roll outs. Though, it makes it a bit more of a gamble.

I’m not sure but if you examine the trend in the LS3 maps, that’s exactly what has been happening … Waypoints just don’t get you around as easily as they did in core .. or even in HoT! There has been a steady decline in the ability to get around using waypoints. I guess that’s a way to force interaction with the world or something. To be fair, they have introduced other ways to allow you to get around and if the trend continues, mounts will add to those ways.

Let’s put it in terms that most of the other MMO developers have discovered over the years.

Out of all of the player types in these types of games, the number of open world explorers represents the highest number of players. Those that want events in which they can jump into the game with their friends during open world activities represents the majority of the playerbase. These players are generally those that do not simply rush through the game, they spend long hours playing and they are generally more concerned with social activities that keep them in these games playing longer so they represent the players who are more likely to keep coming back and buying items.

Those players who are lost in nostalgia about the way games used to be designed in the MMO genre represent 1% of the total population. These players long for dungeoneering and raiding and are of the type that generally bounce from game to game never filling the void that is caused by nostalgia. They keep trying to get something that will never come back and they usually leave games early because it’s impossible to A: please them and B: give them what they want which is a hot tub time portal to that original excitement of discovering mmo’s when they had dungeons as their main progression mechanic.

So when they look at the demographics of who they want to buy their expansions/products aiming for the widest audience, three guesses who that is.

So this new expansion is about new maps, mounts and elite specialization.
What about:
Dungeons
WvW
Fractal
PvP
These things are not important Arena? I’ m sorry but after the HOT expansion, you continue going down to the hill.

Another thing turn me off of this game, was the visual downgrade of some spells. Auras wich now are ugly invisible bubble, dragonhunter traps are less detailed and sparky comparated to the beta of the Hot, mesmer chaos storm and wells are spent… And the response from Colin about this situation " If you are against about the visual downgrade, then you are against on E-sports" . That was final nail in the coffin for me, and how Arena treat their comunity.

Seems like it’s pretty much made for players like me.
Pros
5 maps
Focus on open world content
New elite specs
Mounts seem like a much more interesting use of the mastery system than all of the HoT ones (apart from gliding)

Whatever:
No pvp or wvw stuff. I didn’t expect this and don’t really care anyway.
No raids. I don’t care.
No Fractals. We just got one and I wasn’t expecting one.
Guild Hall. I don’t care about these.

Cons:
Can’t think of any. This is exactly what I wanted.

Preordering when I get home.

Edit: my post is pretty redundant now that my response from the other thread was merged. Oh well.

Sadly I am not going to make same mistake I made with preordering hot deluxe edition. It’s worthless. I strongly suggest to wait few more month after release and price will be about £10 on sale. Reason is, Anet doesn’t bring anything to have balanced gameplay, no changes to pvp or wvw. Pve? We have many maps to play in since previous release and many of them are not populated enough. Honestly, this game became another money eating machine where you just kill monsters with most OP classes. Ot is truth that nothing will be better than old good WOW.

I am really not looking forward to having mounts, I’m just not sold on them and don’t feel the need for them in GW2, and certainly not the need to have them useable in the core maps. (though I get the logic, show them off so hopefully f2p players buy the exp).

Personally I didn’t really like the look of any of them in the video either, the dragonish looking one was ok (skimmer?), but the rest to me look ridiculous. And I am a bit concerned that these “largest ever” maps are going to be made of mostly empty space & have less interesting detail/things to look at, as they were just made big purely to accommodate mounts.

The other thing I hate, which again is personal preference, is how cluttered & horrid my screen will look in cities (if they are useable there), and at groups waiting for an event/wb. With all the stupid tonics that turn people into giant flying elementals, animals etc, and the insane amount of glowing wings & particles everywhere the place already looks like a circus crashed into a nightclub. Now we’ll have a stupid amount of giant mounts kicking around too. (which btw will that not effect performance/fps from all the extra models/meshes/verts?)

But I’m sure many people will enjoy the mounts, so if it makes the majority of the playerbase happy then that’s a good thing. It’s not going to put me off buying or playing the expansion. Plus most of the new specialisations look great! Can’t wait to have a sword on my ele!

I care about 2 things.
1. Elementalists, more specifically staff Eles. What Reaver has to offer so far isn’t very convincing. Also sword is melee so that’s completely out of the question for me.
We’ll have to see what else Reaver has to offer for staff before making a decision, but so far it’s really meh.

2. Nerfs to condis. Condis in this game are ZERO risk and high reward because you only need one stat to put as much, if not more, DPS than any power build. And if anything condis are going to become even stronger than before.
With condis staying as they are, or even getting stronger, this is more a reason to simply stop playing altogether.

0/10 tbh.

I actually would have preferred if GW2 was like other MMOs without a waypoint/instant teleport system. Waypoints ruin immersion and the scale of the world. I really hope that none of the maps have a waypoint, and we have to travel from core tyria by mount instead, or at the very least, no waypoint except the spawn.

Things I wonder about and would like answers to:

  1. Will the mounts be usable anywhere in the PvE game, or, as was gliding originally,- restricted to the new zones?
  2. The Forged look all fiery and Balth is the god of fire and war. Am I going to have to spec for lots of condi removal, thus limiting build options, at least when facing them?
  3. Will ANet finally fix the issue with story instances where I and/or my friends DC with regularity just before the story step completes? As it is, now, story is almost useless as a form of entertainment. Since the story is a major selling point, and if we need to do story steps to unlock areas, the expansion will offer little to no value.
  4. Will the new mob armies continue with the recent trend (since DT, really) of increasing amounts of PBAoE melee hate, especially with more than one close-in combat spec in the new Elites?
  5. How many and what type of collections will there be, and to do them, how much extra-curricular content (e.g. mini-games, JP’s) will need to be completed?
  6. What will it take to unlock the new Elite Specs?
  7. Now that there is a standalone XPac price as well as a Hot bundle option, will we finally see the end of the complaints about vets getting a raw deal?

I think people are forgetting the mechanics of the newest map that was just released. Anet tends to develop in a linear fashion. Which means that the new map, Siren’s Landing, is most likely the norm for the expac zones. which means there will likely be very few waypoints, and the wps that are there will have to be unlocked.

Being an Anet customer for many, many years, if they spent time developing mounts, you can be sure there will be some gimmick where they will be needed, such as no waypoints or an absurd cost to use them, or places you cannot get to easily without them, etc.

Those posting in this thread so far sure seem to be a very specific group of either Sole PvPers, WvWers or Raiders. 90% of you seem to hate the idea of mounts. I dislike mounts also, but given the sheer volume of pro-mounts posts on this forum since 2012, and the crude “show of hands” on the post-show stream I feel those of us who dislike them are in the minority. Even though I don’t care for them if it required to cater to the masses – so what.

When players are satisfied they often seem to keep quiet either playing the game or getting excited. Generally only players with a grudge come to moan on the forums.

The way I understood expansions post-HoT would be that they will essentially be larger chunks of story, maybe with a few features. Several people have pointed out so far that PvP and WvW releases will be shipped “whenever they are ready” and are community driven. That means there is nothing to say that there will be no PvP or WvW content released with PoF but maybe they don’t want to make it a selling point in case it’s not ready in time. After all – it’ll ship when it’s ready.

The raid team also seems to have been pretty autonomous. They seem to have dropped raid wings into the game now and then whenever they have been ready.

The way I see this Expansion is a promise of future content. I’m in no doubt there will be raids, fractals, PvP and WvW content and feature patches throughout the life of PoF and LW Season 4. I think ArenaNet have proven that they can achieve this over the course of Season 3 and that, for me, is worth the gamble on PoF. I’m sure many will disagree with me, if for no other reason than “I hate platforming and that’s all Mike wants to give us”.

You decide what you want out of the game, observe what it delivers, and decide accordingly. You can always wait until after release, and following HoT, no one would blame you for being super cautious.

To be fair, they have introduced other ways to allow you to get around and if the trend continues, mounts will add to those ways.

Because you can glide. Then factor in extended gliding based on masteries. WP become a moot point.

If map or story completion is tied to mounts which are then tied to masteries, well, this is a bad idea. I get some people like gates or other forms of road blocks. But when it becomes a road block for those outside that format of play (WvW/sPvP for example) it pretty much ruins the game. And before you say don’t play story, or buy expansion, those players need elites or may want the shiny object tied to those gates (mastery point system). Point is needing a new mastery to get a vista or mastery point is a horrible design. And it has been raised countless times.

I would be perfectly fine ignoring all of that if the development team provided similar things in sPvP or WvW. HoT maps added, then removed, then added again – yeah, great system. WvW reward tracks – sure, not really relevant compared to say legendary armor, right?

Doesn’t mean people will/won’t buy it – just leads people to question the continued time investment. My guess is they will get a pass this expansion pack. However, next year there is at least one major WvW themed game due out that will take everyone away from GW2 if it is any good.

I don’t think that idea is any worse than gliding … Map and story completion in HoT was tied to lots of things, mounts would be no different. Gliding is unique in it’s approach though … it’s not like I can glide “up”. It’s very restricted in that manner, so it’s not really a replacement for continually limited numbers of waypoints.

Lovely, now for devs, merging means deleting whole posts to copy just a 1 sentence reply that is totally out of context.. that really shows interest in a players opinon…

Ok so, my original post was about BUILDS, and CUSTOMIZATION, what me and my clan, and it seems a lot of wvw and pvp players too, are really woried about is that you try to pull of the same money grab trick you used in hot, making the new specs so overpowered that players felt the need to buy the expansion regardless if they are happy with the new playstyles or not.

Now, why are we woried? Because it kills every rpg element of the game. How can i feel unique by being forced to use the same traits/stats as everyone else. It has been two years of HoT release and you just barely managed to give back the variation we love to see in builds while keeping it fair for every class/build, without having to just delete some, and all of the sudden you want to release a new whole expansion with new specs?!?!?! you haven’t even finished fixing the problems of the last one.

We know how this is gonna end, and we could take it once with HoT, that i personally think you did a great job with, but we won’t take it again, first, if people don’t enjoy new mechanics and playstyle you’re gonna be in a tough spot and second, each time you try to pull off another one of this we are gonna be more demanding until we get sick of the money grabs and start looking for other games.

My point is, release every expansion you like we are gonna be grateful but dont just delete the game we love and start over every time you wan’t to add a spec, just add it in a way it can compete but still in a fair way, we love the game, but what we won’t tolerate (at least me and my guild) is to be forced into buying an expansion just to keep beeing usefull, specially if we have to stop playing our characters the way we like just because we get rekt by new spec players. That doesn’t mean we wouldn’t be happy to buy the expansion just to have those builds as an option, and to support devs.

And please always remember, what made this game unique and incredible was the rpg elements, and im not talking about comsetic and dyes, i’m talking about how deep build variation is, how good it feels to go out there never knowing what to expect regardless of which class im facing. If you insist on pushing into meta mentality then why not removing character creation, making premade characters, and turning this into an action mmo, with no rpg whatsoever.

When are we going to get the Player Housing we were promised at the Original Launch?

I mean Guild Halls are one thing, but you leave a Guild and you lose that space.

I know many people who really just want a little piece of the world for themselves to set up as they wish. And no, Home Instances don’t do that, mostly because of the outright lack of customization.

I may need someone to help my aging memory here.

For those complaining that the new PoF expansion does not have new raids and such….didn’t most of the current raid content come AFTER the HoT expansion? During the Living World updates? But in order to get that new FREE content, you needed to first have the HoT expansion.

I saw nothing in the expansion announcement that suggested that there would NOT be new raids, etc, coming to us in the future. I could easily see extra/new FREE stuff added on later, but one will need to have the PoF expansion.

^^ By definition yes this is selfish, you want a multi million project to be tailored to meet your exact needs. The reality is Anet are offering a new product, you either want it or you don’t. Contrary to your justification that ‘MANY’ agree with you, many more don’t, evidenced by the fact that Anet have in fact invested in another expansion.

I may need someone to help my aging memory here.

I think this is a point that a lot of die-hard doomsayers are missing. ArenaNet have now demonstrated that they can deliver live LW, PvP, WvW, Fractal AND Raid updates at decent intervals between expansions. I can understand why trust might still be at a low after HoT, and those with concerns should of course wait until the expansion has been out for a couple of weeks before making a decision, but I think the promise of content for all game types going forward can be reasonably assured.

They announced “5 new maps, bigger than anything we added before”. And since they are “so big” they add mounts. I’m quite sure they could have scaled the maps smaller so one wouldn’t need mounts to get around in a reasonable time. So this leaves me with the impression "we felt we need to add mounts to feed that (somewhat very vocal) part of the community a carot so they keep playing, and to justify this move, with simply make the new maps bigger.
This all sounds to me like a big waste of ressources for adding mounts just for the sake of adding mounts, even though they could have delivered the same stroy experience without it.

Well, its an expansion.

Last expansion expanded the way we travel with gliding. The gliding in HoT was different and better than the flying in other games And it was a lot fun for me.

With the new expansion they again try to expand the way we travel in a fun way. This time with mounts. Of course the PoF maps are designed for this way of travel, to increase our fun and experience.

If I at least will have half the fun with mounts in PoF and Season 4 than I had and have with gliding in HoT and Season 3, than the money I spent yesterday for the PoF purchase will already be worth spending in my opinion.

So this new expansion is about new maps, mounts and elite specialization.
What about:
Dungeons
WvW
Fractal
PvP
These things are not important Arena? I’ m sorry but after the HOT expansion, you continue going down to the hill.

They announced new pvp maps

Ok, so I guess I’ll give my overall impressions, based on what I’ve seen so far:

Mounts:
I like them. They seem kind of fun. I’m not sure about how you get on and off them, whether they might be kind of a hassle for doing that (I get annoyed when a mount forces you to stand still for several seconds before you can take off with it), but I’m optimistic. Definitely want the jackal one, but the pika is cool too.

Maps:
Look interesting. I very much hope that there’s a “dune sea” map in there, like TOR’s Tatooine or DA’s Hissing Wastes, I love those long, mellow expanses of nothing from time to time.

Classes:
Defintiely some cool new mechanics, I like the creativity at play like that Rev ability that has an inverted cone shape, or the Thief’s self-rooting mechanic. The Ele spec looks like a nightmare, but could be a lot of fun once you figure out a good rotation, and was way more ambitious than I expected. They all seem to have a lot of cool new tricks.

Overall, I have mixed feelings. I’m definitely going to pre-order, although I have zero interest in the outfit or free weapon skin being offered, and I expect to enjoy it a lot, but I do wish they’d announced some more “big picture” changes to the game, like “no more outfits, we fixed the buttcape issue” or “you can dye weapons now!” type stuff. The sort of big technical hurdles that we can’t expect to come from nowhere. I mean, I guess mounts are in that vein, but they are kind of redundant what with normal travel options and gliding, so they don’t exactly “wow” me. I like them, just not like “killer app” like them. Still generally positive though.

I do hope we’ll see another “beta” weekend though, since the 11th is basically the one weekend I can’t make due to Otakon.

You should have taken the hint with HoT that dungeons are not coming back.
WvW and PVP are getting their own updates separate from PVE content.
Fractals are already being added every few months, I don’t see why they would stop doing that with PoF. No mention of it doesn’t mean they’ll stop.

They have said they have several new fractals planned and on the way, some in more traditional “quick mini dungeon” styles and some in the newer “raid stepping stone” styles with Shattered, Chaos and Nightmare being the hardest of those kind of content.

The biggest (and only) gripe I have with the new expansion is that I find it way too expensive…. 30 euro for an expansion? Hell no…. 15 or 20 euro is more than enough… Prices these days are nuts….

Price is OK. Think about how much entertainment you get for that 30 EUR. You buy the expansion, you can get into that content for years after release. The price is fine in my opinion.

All that new content will be focused on PvE open world events, that is why we will have mounts and huge PvE maps, without PvP content and without WvW content.

Why is the emblem for Path of Flame a tornado?

It’s more of a dustdevil, typical of desert environs and even Martian landscapes; at the bottom-left of the logo you also notice 3 small pyramids to emphasize that idea.

Personally I love the concept of this logo – HoT logo was also beautifully done with that stylized depiction of the serpent a.k.a. the “Mouth of Mordremoth.”

Very skeptical. As history tends to repeat itself.

..It just seems they are always doing everything they say they never will. And not doing things they always say they will. The history is all still out there to be re-read. “We will never have mounts, especially not flying ones.” “We will never have raids.”…etc. Now it’s all about raids, and mounts, and more unneeded elite specs and weapons. And, it’s surely so complicated by now, that most new comers must be completely overwhelmed, and completely baffled by the complexity. Not to mention for experienced players.

Every new story line, and every new expansion, they try to completely reinvent the game, not, expand on it. Zero continuity IMHO. (one small simple example) What happened to Aurene? Our precious new dragon that really drew us in, to help raise and cherish? Poof, scratch that, never mind, new game, new weapons, new skills, new story line, new gold sinks, start over. …We’ll do a small cameo appearance for her 7 years from now?? Pay fetch with her, become her caregiver, then never see her again? Uninspiring follow up. (Unless such content is in there, which… I’m highly skeptical)

Getting all new elite specialties and weapons is not appealing to me at all. Quite the opposite. It means we all MUST relearn all professions yet again, as though it is yet another completely new game. And, the previous “new” elite specs, will surely be rendered obsolete. Every single new story line, has been including new and different skills, to be learned anew every time. With zero continuity to game play, and objectives. New unbalanced elite specialties, and new weapons, are sure to make for awkward and muddled game play for almost all players of all types. …Until all the gross imbalances of the new specs are finally found, and exploited, and built around, (of course never fixed). Then, if history repeats itself, THAT one build, and THAT weapon set, will surely become; the one grossly imbalanced favorable build we will all HAVE to use to win fights. Like it or not. Balancing the existing specializations would have been far more meaningful and attractive in the expansion IMO.

TBH, I gave up on relearning most of the HoT professions, which I knew how to use pre-HoT. And, I never have used most characters since then, because of it. And… Why bother? They are surely going to upend it again, once you finally re-learn how to play it, and enjoy it. (And sure enough, it seems, here we go again.) I really don’t want to re-spec and re-learn the whole game again. And, I don’t have time or desire to reinvest in doing that at all. It seems to me that the new elite specs and weapons are designed SOLELY to be a carefully crafted gold sink, rather than anything needed for expanding and improving the game play. Forcing players to re-build, re-armor, and re-weaponize yet again. I don’t think I have it in me. It was fun, and, could have been just improved on. Now it’s just purely annoying to have to start over, …again.

Oddly, as I’ve never even re-spec’d for all the last new elites, this expansion may actually be more of a game ender for me, than a fresh beginning. I would have much rather seen a real re-balance of the current elite specs, than to erase everything and start over yet again.

Mounts. Whatever. Honestly, it sounds like useless, directionless, frustrating, gated material created only to attract and appease a few WoW players. …Not, created because it’s content that actually fits GW2.

On the whole, it really seems (to me anyway) that any really meaningful and hopeful expansion material, such as; the ability for “EVERYONE” to earn Legendary armor. Items that give everyone worthy goals to play for, are potential expansion items that are still completely lost to a few hardcore raiders. Possibly dashed hopes that were traded for mounts that we don’t need, hidden behind gated material, that forces you to play scripted areas. Rather than, expanding the game with useful content items, and contiguous story lines, that we really would want to play for.

We’ll see. Myself, due to recent history and direction since HoT, I’m holding back my money this time around, with skepticism, until I see some genuine positive player feedback from it. And, see something more than just needless mounts, and obligations to drain the bank and completely re-learn, and re-gear all characters, to play for.

I’m probably preaching to the converted but don’t base your decision purely on forum posts! Players who want to vent their gripes come to the forums. Those who are happy with the XPac will be playing and enjoying. I find that because of this the forums give a very one-sided idea of what the content is like.

You know what the forums will look like on release day. It’ll be full of people complaining about the grind. THE GRIND, OH THE GRIND. God, the mastery grind is real. As if ArenaNet would expect me to get tier 3 of the mutant bunny mastery before I can get a specific skillpoint. That’s it. Life is over, game is ruined, just another HoT WoW clone. Doom, DOOM, DOOOOOOOM.

eh

I sure wont be visiting the forums in the weeks after release if I can help it. It’s so depressing!

They are better to show at least some visuals of what’s coming for WvW else it’s just misguiding to say we get stuff outside the xpac. PvE gets way more stuff outside the xpac anyway.

The supposed WvW overhaul ended up being nothing that impacted gameplay in a positive way.

The good thing is that this expansion is 20$ bucks cheaper than HoT. At least the price seems fair this time around. But unless Weaver is just amazing (and good skills that can work with a staff) I don’t see myself buying this just for competitive modes.
