Very simply:

Would you pay for a stone that takes an account/soulbound item, and transmutes it back into a sellable item (removes the account/soulbound) (removes sigil/rune). You can now list it on the Trading Post or send to another character.

This stone could also be used to move a Legendary to another character since you may play it more.

This stone could also be used to move the new Molten Pickaxe to another character.

Basically I personally would pay 1000 gems for 1 stone to unbound an item. So i can sell it on the auction house. It would make the game more “alt” friendly, and allow people to change skins and redeem some money back. They still loose alot of gold on the cost of the stone and the sigil/runes that get removed.

So question is:

Would you pay for this?

1000 gems seems reasonable for converting something account bound. But being able to sell it on TP may break the balance of ingame economy.

I never understood the purpose of “soulbound”.
It shouldn’t exist in my opinion – all items should become account bound on usage.
Even when account bound, an item can still only be used by one of your characters at a time, and if you want to equip more of them, you still have to pay for new items.

The economy would balance itself out as it always does. Theres more broken in the Trading Post than being able to sell something again. Precursors for example.

Yeah, I’d probably sell my Bifrost if I could.

It was fun to get but it only goes with a few dyes. xD

There is already a way to move your legendary to another char on your account, so I am not sure what the purpose of the stone would be. Making something sellable that was SB would not work very well. Nothing is SB in D3 and everything is still very expensive.

it’s worth pointing out that soulboard/account bound is not a gold sink. other way around.
with account bound exotic trash you don’t want, you can sell it to a merchant and 5s get’s brought into the game
if you were able to pay 25g (just right now – gem prices will likely go up in the future) to turn it sellable, that’s 25g that leaves the game. and in a way Anet likes.
