I don’t know where to post this but this seemed like the right place to go. My problem is that I was running Fotm with a friend and we merged parties with 3 others to do the daily fractal run. When we got to the very end of the last fight the other people we had merged parties with kicked me out and my friend witnessed this because he himself was not kicked. I want some form of compensation for this absolutely unacceptable behavior and I would also like to hear some form of explanation to why this system is in place when people are abusing it like this.

Side note: I have the names of the people who did this.

All you can do is report the party leader for kicking you without just cause (if that is actually the case). I know there is an issue of being able to do this easily from in game and it has been mentioned in other forums that this is being looked into (to make it easier). Your only option at this point is to submit a ticket to report the abuser.

While this post can bring attention to your cause, it will NOT result in any action against another player. I am unsure what kind of “compensation” you expect anyone to provide as joining a PUG group always is a risk (that you alone accept when you join said PUG). The only way to GUARANTEE you will not be kicked is to start your own party and always be the leader (or party with someone you know & trust not to kick you).

In terms of WHY the system exists, I would think that is quite obvious.

We go out in the world and take our chances
Fate is just the weight of circumstances

Thanks for the reply, from where can I submit a “ticket”?

What I meant with WHY is why the system operates with a party leader that has the power to completely reverse the progress for anyone in the dungeon by simply leaving or in this case with the help of a friend kicking anyone in the party because they feel like it. It is not obvious to me why it works like that sorry :/

Edit: Found the option to report a player for abusing the LFG-system. But it says the decision will be made from looking at chat logs. Problem is nothing was said, they simply kicked me, so should I send the report anyway?

It has nothing to do with the party leader. Anyone in the party can initiate a kick and another person confirms it. The party leader himself can’t just kick someone by himself. You just can’t kick the party leader without losing the entire group.

If you missed it I did say “with the help of a friend”. My point was that no one can kick the party leader because the progress is reversed, so he basically has immunity, while the leader with the assistance of someone can kick whoever he pleases.

That’s the unfortunate price that you pay when you PUG. I recommend that you either try to always be the party leader, or join a guild that likes to run Fractals so that you will always be running with friends.

soooo how do you know it was the leader who kicked you if nothing was said? Heck 3/4 of the time I “lead” as in start a group, a random player enters the instance and is the true “leader”. Heck I tried kicking a guy earlier today and some random asked me for my reasonings. I said " I made this group, I am God. Don’t agree leave and start your own" In the end I left them. 25 mins later I saw the guy I wanted to kick running around and the group posted in lfg. I chuckled. I guess I should have said he is an afk/non-chat reading- agrroeverything- dance on your corpse troll but I am a not a kind God.

I will also kick to make room for guildies/friends/people who know what they are doing/ people who offer to dance naked/ low levels/ and people who engage in conversation. if any of the above ask to kick someone I will do so without hesitation I will kick for not answering questions, non compliance, disrupting group cohesion, wearing colours I dont like, and feeling like it.
