[KICK] You’re out of the Guild
#beastgate
I don’t know if its a bug, but a majority of the time when I open the new lfg finder theres only like 1 post. Now I seriously doubt across all servers that only one group is doing AC.
Send out an ingame mail to everyone like you did with every other update telling people that lfg finder is ingame now
The groups fill really fast too though.. so that could be part of it idk. I have started my own groups a few times and they are filled within a few minutes. But it would be a good idea to send out an in game mail because I am sure there are many who are not aware of it yet.
^ Jazzllanna is very right, teams fill so fast I often don’t even manage to join one who is looking for 3 more in time. Besides, it probably also depents on what time you look at it…and overall, people just need to get used to it and you will see way more users.
And another thing is that it’s still in beta rollout. I don’t think ALL players have it available to them yet.
Yeah, it’s just that teams fill so fast. We are used to looking on gw2lfg.com where we can see all of the posts that were posted in the last hour. Now we can only see the groups that still have an opening.
I’ve sat and watched groups pop, fill up in seconds, and be gone.

all players have it available by now, but many (that I’ve talked to at least) don’t even know about it since there wasn’t an in-game notification or even a separate LFG icon on the UI.
Well, a lot of players don’t know about it yet, not everyone visits the forums or reads patch updates…
Also, as already said the speed groups fill up is lightning fast, if you try to read requirements you have missed joining the group…

Well someone told the new players because I keep getting stuck in dungeon parties with all noobs Which I think is great that we are getting a lot of new players, but makes for a longer dungeon run :P
You have to remember that:
1) Unlike the website, full groups are removed automatically.
2) The LFG tool is great for yolo-ing a COF Path 1 but useless for anything actually challenging.
yeah, a lot of the people from that tool are… not that good, gw2lfg has better playerbase, and the description isn’t really obvious in the lfg tool.

Actually the only dungeon I don’t manage to run with the tool is CoF path 1, since teams fill faster than the time my arrow takes to go from “refresh” to “join”, Never had toubles with Arah (Path 3 excluded, but since even before the LFG tool was added.).

That’s why you start your own group.

Most if not all groups I joined in using the tool got no issues running any dungeon from AC to HoTW. Of course not including the crazy broken/bugged paths like AC p2 or TA F/U. Maybe getting a good or bad group is a matter of luck, but they generally don’t suck like you’ve said based on my experience.

I did have horrific runs with LFG site as well…it’s all a matter of luck trust me. Nothing matters. Happened to run TA often lately…ended up in parties with lower levels with less than 1000 achis, run went smooth like oil. Ended up in teams with all 80s claiming experienced people only, who wiped at VINES…went to AC path 3 with a level 40 ele and 50ish Ranger, smooth like oil, went there with 3 wars and 2 guards, had just to give up on Spider Queen despite on corner…….
so…it’s just another RNG x)
Yeah, posts fill in seconds. I saw a post for cof and i was like the 2nd to join and in 5 seconds it was full. So its more like, people dont really want to post themselves yet.
Here are a few of the reasons.
Posts fill up very quickly.
Other people still use the LFG website because people are more likely to read the description there. Seriously go try to make a CoF P2 party and see how many people get inside and then leave because you’re not doing P1. Then you gotta go relist in LFG mulitple times and it’s just less of a hastle to post on the website.
Also if you don’t want to have to boot upleveled people in greens when you’re looking for a speed run… the website is the way to go.
The main cause behind all of this is that people simply don’t read or care about the description in the in game lfg tool.

Ive used it once. The thing is that from not having an LFG tool i and various other people i know built up contact lists of people we can call on to fill a spot. We go through our guild rosters, contact lists and each other’s well before thiking about using LFG. Rather take someone who’s not got an optimal set up but i know is friendly than take a randomer. I’m fine with failing, i’m not fine with kittens.

True. But also it seems there is no time to read. If you don’t click immediately, the spot is gone.

Pretty much this. Not everyone wants to post something up for whatever reason, but I can honestly say that so far every single time I have posted up anything for even the most obscure stuff, I started getting party members almost immediately and even if we had leavers halfway through we could instantly replace them. I guess some people prefer to just keep playing and check in occasionally to see what’s posted rather than post their own stuff. I even posted for a few very specific skill points in Orr yesterday and had a full party for it in no more than 2 minutes. We went, knocked it out, said our goodbyes and went on our own ways. Nice, clean, efficient.

Yea that’s a problem. They need more filters.
