Most of which will be done in my daily fractal after midnight, not saying my team will be poor and needed reviving constanly :P

Just restoring; but only if up to full health. So multiple persons can get credited off one corpse. Had this achievement yesterday.

is it really just talking to the laurel vendor or do you have to buy something? if they are forcing us to spend our laurels on things we don’t want to buy then you bet I will complain, that is a deal breaker for me.

Heals are a problem for some professions. Take mesmer where the only group heal we have is if you trait 30pts for restorative mantras.

I don’t think my mesmer has healed anyone but himself… ever.

say “you reached out to heal an ally” guess its reviving or healing a downed player or npc

You could always get people up from downed state (pretty sure that works).

Hell, I got credit for throwing Shadow Refuge on a downed person and someone else getting him up, on my thief.

So where are the laurel vendors?

one in LA near portals, look for the “laurel” symbol on your map.

I heard you have to spend a laurel at the laurel vendor to get the achievement.

if anyone is just starting or stuck on the heal daily, just go to Plains of Ashford and rez dead legion soldiers. They are always laying around near the roads.

Yes but isn’t rezzing different to healing?

I actually did read it wrong and thought it said to spend 1 laurel. I made a post about the idiocy of that kind of thing, and then reread what it actually said and went: doh! and deleted my post.

I am like on eggshells I guess reading the forums makes me too jumpy…I need to spend more time in game and less time around negative nellies.

Honestly, I’d like to see them put the laurel one, or something like it, in place of the dungeon and fractal runs on the monthly quest as well, until they can get the ‘grab bag’ system together. I’m fine with the dailies, and everything else that usually shows up in the monthlies, ‘except’ fractals and dungeons.

Everything else is fine, including the WvW count for the month. That seems to just happen, but I can understand why people wouldn’t want ‘that’ included as part of their monthlies, but happy to go do dungeons.

So temporarily replace dungeons with logging in once in the month.

We had that daily 2 days ago -_-, it’s simply about resing downed/dead people, even NPCs count.

You did do your dailies 2 days ago and do this right ? You’re not just… gasp jumping on the whine bandwagon ?

OP : I almost made that sarcastic post about the Laurel vendor one myself. No people, just visiting and talking to him is enough, no need to spend a laurel to get a laurel.

Funny thing is, iv done dailies from the start of the new update and didnt do this one 2 days ago, when everyone was talking about it back then, I was like wtf my dailys are different :P

Wierd.

The laurel daily is just to herd people to the laurel vendor so they know it exists and to have people look at what you can buy. This will encourage people to farm their dailies and consider them worthwhile because they will know what kinds of things they can buy with laurels.

Well, and going to the laurel vendor could mean they might add spiffy stuff and we should check back! (yay I got back on a positive note!)

This Daily was easy for me; I clicked on the Laurel vendor and that was done, gatherered some wood and killed 50 mobs, went to the place north of Nebo on the Gendarran map where all the dead Serrif are and rezzed them and did some events; the events took the longest. BTW that Pirate event on the bridge that was bugged forever was running; haha too bad I got there and they Pirates had killed all the caravan. Nice to see it was working.

Never had to. Just talked to the guy and got the achievement for it.
It was ridiculously easy, but obviously supposed to push us towards spending our laurels right away.

I’m pretty sure the Laurel Vendor daily is just there so we can figure out where the heck the Laurel Vendors even are. Only reason I know where they are is because I always use the PvP Asura Gate shortcut to Lion’s Arch.
