I was so excited to get permafrost because the dye had so pure glowing white color at the hero panel.
So I bought the dye and found out that the dye also reflects the color of the game field to great extent…
If the environment is yellow, it looks like white+yellow. If the environment is grey, then the color is grey
There is almost no difference between “permafrost” and “white” dye in the actual game field although at the hero panel the two colors differed significantly.
The only way to see the difference is to use the color on your entire armor

@1199g, it’s not worth it from the get go … from the price alone.
Reflective aspect of dye usually very visible when applied on heavy armors, metals. If it’s also reflective on medium and light armor than yah it’s a bust.

A lot of dyes are like that – particularly the shiny/glossy ones. They’re affected by the material they’re applied to and the ambient lighting.

But in general Celestial is brighter than White and Permafrost is brighter than Celestial. In some lighting they’re almost indistinguishable, in others white looks almost grey and Permafrost is still bright white.
