Now that the shared slot is out, how about letting players buy the permanent bank access for 8000 gems each for convenience sake? It will be a good “quality of life” upgrade.

Is that a typo or did you really suggest a price of 8000 gems willingly?
I was under the impression that the only people paying insane amounts of real money to lift limitations that the game makers imposed on them (and could remove for free at any time) were teenagers who got addicted to those horrible pay2win cellphone games with 99,99$ “gem packages”.

To be fair at the current exchange rate 8,000 gems is 1,610 gold, which is less than the permanent bank access is selling for on the TP.

But on the other hand the price leap up last night after the shared inventory slots came out and I’m fully expecting it to drop a lot as the ‘OMG must have!’ crowd get it and more become available. So this would only seem remotely reasonable for a short time.

Edit: Mildly amusing that while typing this I was listening to a song with the lyrics “money money makes the world go round, money money just brings me down”.
(And if you recognise it don’t judge, I have a lot of random crap on my computer.)

Apologies if the suggestion offended you in anyway. I suggested based on the exchange rate and no way in hell i am paying 3000g to flippers on the tp and rather buy it from gemstore. Ultimately, it is up to anet to price it and i am merely suggesting.

C’mon, be fair here. I work for such a developer/publisher. We don’t sell Gem packages at $9,999. We sell “Ultimate Value” packages at ONLY $220. That’s not much is it?

I googled it. Watch me not judging…

As for the topic, I wonder how much Anet would actually price this, and the other permanent items. Does the hair one still exist? I can’t imagine they’d be cheap even for people who have no issues dropping 10 US cash bucks on certain items. But you never know.

Logically they’d have to charge at least 2,100 gems because if you have one of these you’ll never need more than 1 shared inventory slot (unless you’re really impatient, and opening the bank to access your items is too much).

Actually that would be a much better deal. 2,100 gems for a permanent bank access express + 700 for a shared inventory slot I’d definitely do.

You and everyone else

I was lucky enough to get a Permanent Bank and it is definitely the only thing I’ll ever have in the slot. If I didn’t have it I wouldn’t have bought the slot at all.

Come to think of it I wonder if sales of black lion keys have spiked with people trying to get a permanent bank access contract (either to use or to sell).

Even I might be tempted to try if I’d ever gotten anything good from the chests, but I’m happy when I get an unidentified dye (or anything except a booster) so it seems pretty unlikely.
