Played diligently since release, but I’m more and more bored every time I log in.

Played WvW until I was sick of it. Same ol’ same ol’ every time. Zergzergzergzergzergblech.

PvP in this game just doesn’t do it for me. The implementation may be great for some, but for me it’s just a sloooow process, and gaddang I’m tired of point-defense. I’ll get my 3 matches for the daily now and then, that’s about it.

Fractals? I don’t always have 1~2 hours to devote to a sitting. This would be where I put my attention on those rare occasions, but then it’s super repetitive and has such low rewards per time spent.

So that leaves Living Story. I log in every two weeks, check out what the deal is, and binge until I barf, which takes very little time. I haven’t wanted an LS reward since those two wings backpieces (minis, c’mon, fer real), and the minigames – while fun for a minute – don’t seem to hold my attention. As far as the actual content goes? Meh.

So much seems disappointing to me.

WvW looks like it should be awesome, but somehow it’s built in a not-awesome way.
PvP just makes me meh every time. And living story is a nice thought, but the storytelling in this game just isn’t good (we all know that), and the content is just so weak most of the time.

You know what I really want? You know what loot of gw2 players really want?

An expansion.

But Anet doing their sorry to say, stupid limited time Living Story… they didnt really listen to players, and thats mistake…

I believe it was Colin that said they would have expansion-like-content delivered to us from the living story, and not through an actual expansion.

I agree with most of this, but I also believe that Anet has plans in the future to make more permanent content and better events altogether.

Anet doesn’t listen to suggestions, by the way. I’ve heard plenty of fantastic suggestions that weren’t even considered by Anet to be valid, yet the suggestions could’ve easily fixed many things about this game in a matter of seconds.

Colin said they have people working on bigger/longer term projects, and that they haven’t decided the vehicle they’ll use to release that stuff, but it’s possible it can come in as part of the living story.

It’s also possible it can come out as an expansion. No decision has been made on that yet.

They’re having an expansion. It’s just not going to be titled “Gw2: Expansion”. It’s going to be implemented through the living story, for free. This doesn’t mean it’s going to be “watered” down either. They’ve already explained that what you find in traditional expansions (areas, races, skills, traits) will also be found in their living story.

I agree with your synopsis on fractals (and dungeons in general). The ideal length to me for a dungeon is about 20 minutes. When a path takes longer then that I tend to get bored and the experience is diminished greatly. So much so that I will go days if not weeks before doing another one.

I agree, and they can say “oh yea its coming” or whatever as long as they want, it all means nothing until they actually show us some work.

You just named all the main ‘permanent’ features of GW2, but you dislike them all. But, there’s no denying the poor quality of the temporary bs.

What do you mean there’s no denying it? I deny it.
