Honestly how these made it past the conception stage is beyond me, can we get a hotfix on these so they have an internal cooldown or lower the amount of kittened stacks that are applied on interrupt?
You guys at ANet sure are quick to nerf farming spots but when it comes to balance you are clueless, were these even tested outside of PvE?

It needs a 5-10 second cooldown on the 6 ability Interrupt, While i’ve not ran into anyone who can chain nail me with it, I’ve been using it with my new Ranger Build to very devastating effects. I mean I don’t stack a whole lot, Usually 13 is about Best i can do…. But I can only imagine people going above that would be rather oped.

I’m not sure but i think at 6/6 they apply 5 stacks of confusion for 8 seconds
on skill interruption. A warrior can add 4 stacks (for a total of 9) per interrupt with a master trait in the strength/cond. duration trait line.

I currently don’t have that kind of money to throw away but i guess
a ‘stop hitting yourself’ mace-shield/hammer build in wvw is pretty fun.

Honestly you’re better off just running something else as a Mace-Shield/Hammer Warrior

While 9 Stacks seems like a lot, You have to remember against people with Stability its a waste, and most will clear it since you’re not covering it usually with other conditions.

Now a Condition Warrior can do pretty well with it, Because its Extra Condition you can do…. Sword/Shield with Longbow for example would be very nasty.

I can’t wait to stick these runes on my condition P/D thief in WvW! I’m asura too so even more confusion with pain inverter. Although I I might run D/P or S/P in the offhand for interrupts

On a well played CC class that can drop confuse, it can wipe people because the condition ‘can’ be stacked up to 25 if played really well (I’m looking at you, mace/shield + hammer warrior, mesmer, or even p/s toolkit/bombkit/x engineer)

This is a nice step, IMO, since it propagates watchful play (watching what to dodge, etc).

Of course you will get some idiots that are determined to fight. Dropped supply crate on some thief, it just kept fighting despite covered with confusion.

You can put up confusion stacks faster then you can remove them, so more condi removal is not going to help most classes.

it doesn’t need an icd, 5 stacks per rups make no sense if you look at abilities of any other runes in the game. No more than 2 stacks should be applied and if they keep it at 5, it better be for 3sec, not insanely long 8sec+all the condi duration food its just crazy.

I might have to put into place the condi damage interrupter mesmer I theorycrafted with these runes. Too bad they won’t be in spvp for a while. Talk about some insane 1v1 ability, you either are dazed, stunned or have ~10 stacks of confusion on you at all times doing around 2000 per skill cast and that is without counting the perma 10 stacks of vulnerability and perma cripple to prevent any chance of escape from anyone other than a thief.

Mesmer interrupt traits definitely need to be looked, they are all over the place. I have now respecced my mesmer back to shatter build as the interrupt build just wasnt cutting it. These are definitely not that OP on mesmers. I may try it on an engi though.

Torch mes doesn’t provide CC. Unless you’re saying in addition to Torch.

Also, Mesmer is good at applying the 6 effect in AoE, but not so good at applying it to one target (stacking one person to 25).

well the problem is not the mesmer…its the other classes that get more stacks,more viable for longe that a condition mesmer. 5stacks for 10 seconds is ridiculous. warriors and engis can pretty much spam interrupts…and if they change necros fera to work as an interrupts…wvw will be a nightmare.

warriors were always op, so nothing new here, Eng might work yes and I don’t see the problem considering we have so few builds and I see a ‘’if they change necros’’ so if RNG is on my side I’ll get 5 precursors as drops. In other words, stop worrying about ifs and focus on what’s in game atm

Don’t roam in a group of 5 and roam alone. Tell me how well it is when you don’t use soldier runes for condition cleansing. How many stacks are you really applying when you are solo? Most roamers you face 1v1 will be condition cleansers, stun breakers, and stability.

I am using it on my warrior and i havent lost a 1v1 since. Even though there were some draws.

I dont exactly run a condition build either to cover the confusion. I basically used those runes to craft a viable celestial build and its working nice. I am not fully done yet due to the time gating of celestial armor (5 celestial ascended trinkets, no backpiece available, 4/6 celestial armor pieces, celestial hammer and mace).

As off hand, i still use warhorn, traited, so i dont waste utility skills for my own condition removal.

As you would guess, my stats are pretty balanced now, even though i spike a bit in some areas due to the traitlines i use, my backpiece and the food/nourishment i choose.

I dont use shield off hand because i already got enough interrupts:

Death from above, hammer #4,#5 and burst, mace 3 and burst, plus Stomp utility.

Thats 7 interrupts i can chain together nicely, possibly 10, if i use shield and bulls charge+kick as other utilities.

I havent seen a build yet, that has enough condi removal/stability to counter my interrupts/Confusion spam long enough to burst me down, either with direct damage or condition spam.
I still have 3k armor and 28k health and last time i checked, i had over 600 healing power as well to replenish my health bar using signet of regeneration and Adrenal Health.

I am no wet noodle neither, with over 3k attack and decent crit chance and damage.

Most people dont even have time to think about how to kill me because they are busy looking for stability/evade or condition removal.
I have 18 stacks on you before you know what happened, doing 2.5k damage per tick in wvw. Most classes used up their condi removal and stability before i even weapon swap or used a utility skill.

Its alot of fun to play.

OP? Propably, but its not class specific, every class can get the rune.

It existed before. And unlike with the runes, it required you to give up pretty much every other way to really do at least some damage. It was called Glamour-Mesmer. And as we all know, they nerfed that into the ground, or actually even below that. And then they made a rune which potentially can do much more damage (without taking away your other means of doing damage) than Glamour-Mesmers ever could.

And the sad part is, I don’t think many Mesmers will use this rune. Well, unless they can live with moving around like a snail while trying to get from one point to the other in WvW.

They got hot-fixed already right after they got introduced:

Because first, they applied confusion not to your enemy but yourself.
