So, not exactly sure how I got this, and not exactly complaining about it either.

I believe I created my character a few months back, when Old Lion’s Arch was still around. I haven’t played her personal story much, I mainly used her for money, leveling, etc., and I wanted to try out the Ranger class.

I decided today to continue her Personal Story after all this time, because I wanted to her to be officially in the Durmand Priory. Entering the quest in New Lion’s Arch, I get a loading screen, and I’m then transported back in time to the Old Lion’s Arch Grand Piazza. The quest then wants me to continue there.

Now I just feel like I want to never continue my quest… It’s really lovely to see the old layout after all this time.

The sticky above you details the fixes they did to the PS, including the ability to let us see the appropriate version of now-changed areas. Those of us following the thread were champing at the bit for it to happen, believe me!

You can go it one better and turn off post-processing in your graphics options and then you’ll see it in full color rather than sepia.

When they fixed the PS issues a couple of months back, they ensured old LA from 2 years ago was restored to its rightful place in your story’s timeline. It is a nice touch and means all new players will be able to see some if its old glory.

There definitely was something special about the old LA. I do kind awish they’d rebuilt it with a similar style.
btw, you can turn off ‘post-processing’ in graphics options to get rid of the sepia overlay.

Oh thank you for telling the fix! Very appreciated And here I was thinking it was a great find haha, I may still keep it around though. Finishing the PS isn’t high on my priority list and I do miss the old Lions Arch

There’s more story in LA, at least if you’re Vigil, and you get a bigger hunk of LA to run around in. Not the plaza, but south to Vigil HQ (and later the beach, I believe).
