Guild Wars 2

Back before Heart of Thorns I completed the personal story for no reason other than getting rid of the personal story on my UI. Now, however, it’s come back, and isn’t even on the part where I was at, it’s on the chapter before the end.

Does anyone know what’s up with it, or how to fix it?

It may be the ‘chapters’ that had been removed/skipped, and were re-instated with the overhaul to the Personal Story.

Perhaps, you can just do those ‘chapters’?

You could also go into settings, and check “Content Guide”
Any option but “Default” will hide the story.

No, that just disables the compass effect.

Changing content guide doesnt work. All my characters are stuck on random stupid kitten and I wish I could turn it off. I tried “quit episode” and it just restarts it again next time i log in

Consider yourself lucky. My Rev has her LS2 turn on again every single time she uses a WP. I am soooo irritated.

I would love to have a way to hide personal story from the UI altogether- maybe a toggle on the personal story page. It annoys me having to click to unexpand it every time I log in, and I don’t need to see it every moment I am logged in.

I have this too. Have for a long time, and it’s not the first or second time I’ve said something about it on these forums (last was under a QoL thread).

Wherever you get up to, the game keeps a tab on it, which is on one hand nice, but if you’re just replaying a short part of story for an achievement (for example), it will still keep that tab on and forever remind you. If you choose to start another part of the story, a new tab is created in addition. I’ve currently got four of the things as a result, and although I can quit the marked chapter, the tab does not disappear. If I do remove it, it appears again any time I move to a new map.

I would really like the option to double click those tabbed stars, producing a pop-up to check if I want to remove them (thereby losing all progress, which I’m totally fine with). It’d also stop someone accidentally removing them when they don’t mean to.
