Personality? What happened to it?
They never did much with it.
I remember, when this game was still in production, reading what they would like to do with the personality system. They suggested, for example, that it would effect interactions with vendors. A charming person might get the occasional discount and a brute might get an option to punch the NPC.
I suspect that the things ANet wanted to do was hard hit by time and budget constraints. Since this system never really was put in besides some dialog options, it was abandoned in favor of other things they want.
I do find it strange that they took it out entirely, though. It’s one thing to not do anything with it, it’s quite another to remove any trace of it. Seems like the effort to remove it could have better been used elsewhere.
