Small problem that I would like to bring to your attention please…

My girlfriend wanted to name her ranger pet “Lulu” but the game doesn’t allow it… I came to the forums a while back and most people said it was for copyright reasons, probably something to do with Final Fantasy X… which I found pretty stupid because this is the same name as our pet cat in real life…

yet…. I stumbled across this during my travels.

Could I (we) get an explanation please?

Spoiler: A common girl’s name being supposedly copyrighted is more than likely not the reason than that name isn’t allowed.

My automatic assumption is it’s too close to “lulz” and thus “lol,” so it doesn’t pass word filter.

Or just the fact that the game is already using it could be the issue. I highly doubt that it’s because of copyright issues.
