Petition: Requesting ArenaNet Stance and Q&A regarding GW1/GW2 list of environment and game-play inclusions. Why hasn’t their been an official response about this?
I know I am not the only person that would like to see more of our ancestors in Guild Wars 2. It feels like all has been lost except some small afterthought instance that provides a structured rewards for accomplishments in it’s previous game. Here are my questions:
Why has Guild Wars 2 Staff, faculty, and leadership not addressed these questions for us? As a player, I would like to know what Anet’s stance is on each subject?
1. Guild Halls. Guild Wars 2 I understand like server space requirement, but having a gem store should have made that easier to maintain.
2. Guild Capes as back-pieces
3. Extended expansion classes featured in GW1 (I mean did all the Ritualists, Assassins, Paragons, and Dervish die out?) What happened?
4. Crafting materials from that era(Where did diamonds and other crap go?) Its rocks how does it just disappear?
5. Dwarven and Mursaat races, era, and locations. (Again disappeared from the Southern Shiverpeaks. There has to be some cultural thing there. They didn’t just turn into Norn.)
6. Structured Guild V Guild PVP interfaces
7. Armor from GW1 (not just one set, possibly the oldest looking should have survived)
8.History incorporation such as history in the crystal desert or Ring of Fire or even newer areas.
9. Cantha and Elona? What is their status, will we see a larger world someday? I ain’t leaving this game for another 5 years, so…I would like to see it.
We would like to know these things. Why hasn’t this been explained or divulged in the fact of us knowing instead of ranting for years to come to bring back some of the most iconic experiences made and incorporated into our GW2. These things should be answered, this is my petition.
If I could get as many +1’s to try and get an official response from the head designers, lore engineers, and developers regarding to why this hasn’t come to fruition or what their plans may hint at, I would appreciate as many likes as I could get.
We have to show a united front here. I want to be able to develop my love for GW2 into a deeper connection to the game and company I fell in love with in 2005. We need clarification and would like to show our support for the best game I have ever known except Legend of Dragoon, but that is console. If you could GW2 fellow players, like post, don’t bash so we can get these few points answered. I am not looking for all lore answers, but mainly content inclusion answers. Something tangible, something to experience. When I log into this world, it is a part of me, I am that character, I don’t have alts. I only develop one main character, because that is who I am. I am taking this seriously as much as I can portray to you.
While I do appreciate a reborn game into a entirely different one, some of the players of old would like some love and not afterthoughts, which I think would excite and immerse the newer players as well. We are still in GW2’s infancy I think, though I would also like to know as a side note if it is progressing as fast as the lore did in GW1 with Cantha and Elona. Some of these game-play elements were seen as essential or iconic, though we haven’t seen much talk about it. Hopefully we will.
Forever a GW’er,

+Ascending armor through completing a mission way cooler imo.

A:
The Dwarfs have all turned into stone, and are fighting a dragon deep under ground. There is only 1 Mursaat possibly left alive, Lazarus.
As to the rest of your questions. Their policy now is to not talk about what is in or not in development. When they have something that they are about to release they will give news about that, but that is only when they are about the release it.
So yeah, you will not get your answers to your questions, unless they are really close to releasing it to us.
I just read that lol, posting on their CDI forum. Thanks btw
