The overly casual, please everyone environment that Anet has tried to established seems to be leading to a quickly degenerating community.

Just on the front page of this forum we have threads about:

1. Better salvage kits are ruining the game
2. using stealth is an exploit
3. Rebuilding LA is content I want to pay for
4. I need bunny ears or i’ll quit the game
5. Having to play the game to earn skills is killing the game

I mean how much more petty can the forum posts get?

A complaint post about complaints seems petty to me.

Seems like someone isn’t familiar with MMORPG game forums.

The entire genre is one giant cesspool of people who hate the game they’re playing vs the people who love the game they’re playing.

It’s a futile argument.

Please explain how this is different from a random sampling of forum threads over the last 2.5 years… besides nothing mentioning the necessity of adding mounts to the game, that is.

Isn’t this a little petty-ception? (If I complain about a complaint for complaint threads, does that make it petty^3?)

Also, just to point out- the community in-game and the community/vibe you get from the forum are very different.

Think of the forums much like a customer service desk. Chances are, most people use it only to voice upset and concern, believing that their voice is best heard/responded to here.

Nobody is forcing you to read the forums- if you don’t like seeing a bit of exaggeration and melodrama, it can be quite easily avoided.

While the game does not have a Holy Trinity, the forum does have a Holy Quattro, which is threads about mounts, dueling, capes and complaints about other people’s posts.

So far today I’ve seen a mount thread and this one. Only 2 more to go.

Edit: or was it a cape thread? My memory went bye bye after the 1000th cape/mount/dueling/complaint thread. :/

Why don’t we have a duel on mounts while wearing capes? Then we can come here and complain about it so other people can complain about us complaining about our duels on mounts while wearing capes.
