Can we has salvage into fine quality luck at least? Seems like a reasonable solution to the piles upon piles we get.

Doing this requires obsidian shards and since the karma nerf I’m not too fond of blowing all my karma away just to clear up some inventory space on my storage character.

It’s still a casual way to level up one of the three crafting professions from 450 to 475, 4400 karma at a time :P If someone has stacks upon stacks of the dust though, they’re killing enough Champions to get enough from them to justify not needing a mat they’ll never use.

If someone doesn’t care about ascended weapons, or leveling a craft to 500… those dusts are just taking up space. It takes like what, an hour to get a stack on them in Queens? If that. I’d go with delete.

It takes 100 piles to make 1 brick.

It has no use except to be turned in to bricks.

You can store 250 bricks in your collectibles tab

do you have over 100 STACKS of bloodstone dust?

I already have 50 bricks refined. 5 ascended weapons crafted and all weapon professions past 475. Yet I still have like 10 stacks of bloodstone dust and growing in my bank.

Ugh… I wish there was a way to increase/remove the stack limitation in the bank.

A few months ago I would have my character and bank bursting with dungeon tokens, I was desperate in what to do with so many as my space kept getting shorter and shorter. The Wallet came and made all of us happy – finally we had space. Now we’re back at the beginning, the difference here is that its with T7 mats now…

Sigh

Just delete it.

It is very easy to get if you do want it.

Save some in case the drop gets nerfed but otherwise it is very easy to get so delete whatever you don’t care to save after you have a stock pile.

I wish they’d either increase the over all store of our collectables, or, alteratively, reduce and refine the amounts needed.

I mean, think of it this way; if it takes 100 bloodstone dusts to make a brick, and we get 5-15 every time we open a bag or chest or whatever, why not just reduce it so we only need 10 bloodstone dusts to make a brick, and only get one dust per chest and bag? It’d take, more or less, the same amount of time and effort to get enough to refine, but it would only take up a tenth of our bag space.

The same goes for all crafting materials; if I need three logs to make one plank of wood for crafting, why not just set it so each tree only produces one log and one log is all that’s needed to make a plank?

It’s just common sense.

^ if everyone only got exactly what they needed out of resource nodes or drops, there would be virtually no trade economy. That’s part of the central problem surrounding ascended mats. They are account bound. There is no way to get rid of them except for using them yourself.

While you can delete this stuff as a viable option, why there isn’t a way to increase collectible storage is beyond me.
I would pay a realistic gem store fee even, to have my storage capacity increased PER SLOT. I don’t want more slots, I want to be able to store 500, 750, 1000 in one slot and would pay for it.

Don’t expect this to be implemented though.

The amount of items in a single item stack is defined by a single byte, and thus is limited to a maximum of 255 (though the game limits stacks to 250, it is possible to alter chat links so it looks like a stack has 255). They’d have to change this to work with two bytes instead… and that’s probably too much work for Anet to handle.

According to a reddit post with some “data mining” there was indeed a gem store item under developement that would increase the deposit capacity to 500. I don’t know what happened to it though.

Runescape has had unlimited stack (well the rumour is actually something in the 2.
5 million mark actually) amounts per slot for the past 12-ish years. For a game that is so outdated to be able to do this I really can’t see how Anet could not. The issue is storage and server space, Runescape has a subs attached to it for all that extra bank space (well extra slots not the unlimited stack amounts even free accounts get that!). So really this is the only issue Anet has here.

Having said that I am sure there are other options or plans in play for further add ons to the stack amounts (I’m sure I saw a 500 boost item in some post that posts the cracked codings or what not). If not I can assure you some people such as myself would pay a small subs for UNLIMITED stack amounts to help cover the extra server spaced needed to hold all that data.

Not to mention Eve online. That game has almost no hoarding limits at all. You can have have massive amounts of assets spread all over the several thousand space stations accross the galaxy.

Well yes they would have to give more uses for them of course for that to work. Otherwise you would have everyone selling (remember not everyone crafts) and no one buying as they are too easy to get yourself without even trying.

I remember when the patch introduced the ascended mats. Everyone was storing the Exotic loot bags. I ended up with 17 stacks of the dust. couple weeks later I realized how easily given out this stuff is.

Needless to say I deleted all but 3 stacks. and I delete any more that happens to find its way in my inventory :P

This was an acceptable excuse back when it was Rupees in the original Zelda in 1986. Using this as an excuse now is…..inexcusable. Practically no other game out there is limited by this in any way – other than to fuel cashshop sales for expansions and extensions (which is fine with me and I would gladly pay a reasonable fee for higher capacity).
