Hi everyone,

I’m truely enjoying this game and I love seeing all the beautiful armour and weapons pass by when I play. ^^ But there’s one thing that’s been bothering me. I see all these pretty pink glowing weapons, such as Whisperblade, Anomaly, Chaos gun, Abyssal scepter, Vision of the Mists, … and then I discover there’s no dagger version of this. I would love to have more options concerning daggers. They can be considered small swords, right?

I love playing my ele with daggers, but no pink daggers are available. I love pink or purple glow, or something white…

Maybe some people will think this is silly, but I personally love the option for more fairylike things (a lot of girls play this game too) The same for backpack items, I feel there are too many “necromancer” options, if you know what I mean? Things that look brutal or scary, but I just don’t want to go for that look. I would love some butterfly wings or something!

Just a suggestion. I’m really happy with the ascended weapons by the way, I love the white ones and the celestial ones so much, it fits my ele and mesmer character a lot more.

Anyone else who feels like this?

Yeah .. there are not really that much nice daggers in my opinion.
Take a look at the ascended Wupwup Dagger .. that is maybe the best you can get at the moment.
I made one a while ago for my necro and was happy that i could now use the skin on both daggers and also on my elementalist

Needs purple quaggan pack. Just sayin.

Purple isn’t the new pink.

But yes, pink weapons would be nice. I’ve been waiting for an extremely pink girly GS for my Warrior.

There are some “fairy like” weapons and backpacks.
- You got the backpack of lyssa, which was introduced right before the S2 of the living story.
- Several plush backpacks
- lots of plush “helmets”
- etc.

sue there is not really a cutesy dagger as far as i am aware right now, aside from the black lion valentines dagger (or whatever its name was), so there is that

Also, lots of the “pink glowy” weapons are just reused assets from the Mesmer illusions, which are made available to the people through the mystic forge.
However since none of them is using daggers, you are out of luck unfortunatly….

Yes let us use a recipe item that was dropped by RNG and costs astromical gold when you can find another skin that is far cheaper and looks decent.

I just asnwered the question about fairy, cutesy and glowing stuff.

I only stated that these things exist, is something wrong with it?

Also, droprate of the backpack has been increased, causing for the price to drop later through the patch. However i am not aware where the price is now to be honest.

As Jaken said, the reason a purple dagger doesn’t exist is because all of the purple weapons (aside from Anomaly, which is different from the others other than being purple) are Mesmer phanstasm weapons. They basically just took all the weapon assets they already had for phantasms and made them into player-wieldable weapons as well. And there’s no Mesmer phantasm that uses daggers.

If you really want a dagger with a pink or purple glow, you might look into the Peacemaker Dagger (Asuran T3 cultural weapon, can buy it from the T3 cultural weaponsmith in Rata Sum even if you aren’t Asura) or the Lovestruck Dagger, which you’ll have to get off the TP.

and they question why we veteran GW players want weapons dye-able…..

Well, how cute the quaggan backpacks are, for me they don’t add to my character. While fairywings would.

It’s nice to hear the explanation behind the pink glowing weapons though

I don’t like the design of the peacemaker things (too rectangular) and lovestruck skins are a bit over the top for me

It’s not that I want “hello kitty girly cute”, but just more fairylike and less “death, orr, destruction, ghost” like things, if you know what I mean

There are two pink/purple daggers I know of, but they’re obviously not as glowy as Anomaly or Vision of the Mists. They’re still pretty, though, and one of them does have some glow on it.

I actually want a dark, evil themed legendary dagger. (like twilight)

Hmm … which mesmer illusion uses axes ? Because we have also Reaver of the Mists. Or a shield .. Wall of the Mists.

You may want to look at the Lovestruck weapons, they have pick glowing hearts on them.

One uses the the whirling axe skill (focus 5, phantsamal warden)
Shield is used by the phantasmal defender

O.o .. ok i never used a focus on my mesmer and always thought they use the same weapons that the mesmer uses

Lovestruck daggers have glowing red hearts on them, it’s what I use. Check them out!

On my pinksura ele, I use the wupwup dagger with anomaly and immobulus and bifrost. These rainbow, pink, lucky charm weapons make her look like an adorable little fairy ^.^

I actually use the Zenith Kris, just because it’s probably the least dangerous looking one I’ve come across. Would welcome some better options.

You do realize that if Anet puts a pink dagger into the game there will be fire on it.

I think before filling any such small niche they should work on getting us daggers which are actually noticeable when equipped on anything but a fullsize norn or charr.

I wish we have more variety on legendaries like twilight/sunrise but for other weapons light/dark type.

It would be fine if it`s stopped glowing like a nuklear explosion when sheated… it looks so stupid, having this glowing ball clipping and glowing through your character, when he does not wield it

I have the GS, sword and focus on my asuran mesmer (and note the pink quaggan backpack!):

Zenith dagger. It’s not pink, but it’s a dagger made of a bunch of magical floating crystals. That can be fairylike.

Sadly I can’t find a good image anywhere but mesmers can spawn an Illusionary Rogue when in downed state. I would imagine that it has a phantom dagger as it uses the thief’s Heartseeker attack.

There’s also Mjinor(?)- whatever his hammer is called if you wanna make Thor.

It does kind of exist in blue. Dreamthistle axe is a blue glowing axe.
