Pistol Profession - Engineer or Thief?
I think you’ll probably enjoy a thief, as their unload skill looks just so so so so so cool. One thing I hate about engineer’s dual pistol, is the left pistol looks like a limp, and you only fire it when using skills 4 and 5. (well, i’d reckon it looks the same on the thief).

I’d say Engineer. Thief P/P gets highly repetitive with Unload spam. P/D Thieves can be fun-ish, but the Engineer has two viable and fun Pistol/x sets, along with kits for more variety.
I find certain races much more fun than others in certain professions. Eg. Loving my Asuran thief, but hated playing as a human thief. Hated my Asuran Ele but loving my human Ele. Haven’t yet found a race to go Engineer with that I like (tried Charr and Norn).

Engineer. By FAR. Pistol/Shield > Pistol/Anything (Thief wise)
Mind you, Engineer is best Defensive while Thief better Offensive.

Engineer pistol 1 needs to be buffed a little (3s bleed instead of 2s, maybe 10-20% damage increase) but other than that their pistols are more interesting.
