Is there ever going to be a time where if you buy $200 worth of gems, you get like 20% off? There is little to no incentive to buying a large amount of gems at this moment.

I don’t know if anyone here can answer that unless a staff member stops by. You may consider brining this up in the suggestions forum though.

I’m honestly surprised they don’t do bulk sale as it is. $100 for 8000 gems? It’s rare to see a company offer a large sale without any sort of incentive on the part of the buyer to make it…

If they did offer such a discount then people who couldn’t afford to spend $100 at once for 8000 gems would feel ripped off. This way people with more money are not gaining any advantage over someone with less money.

Essentially they priced gems so you can buy as many as you want, or can afford, at any given moment without anyone losing out because higher quantities are better deals.

Recently they have also started giving out bonus items if you recently purchased gems with real-life cash. A recent example being the 500 gem kites.

yes well I won’t be getting $100 gems- the exchange rate to $ in my country would make that slightly less than my child’s school fees a month.

I do get 800 gems every now and again because even if that is expensive it just means that I do not go out to that nice restaurant and order the steak and Merlot. (one or the other)

I’ve always considered this but Anet really does not have any incentive to post bulk sale for gems since they don’t have any competition and they probably have great gem sales at full price anyway.

riot does it. idk if it increases or decreases sales, but something slight might help encourage bulk purchases and still not alienate people who only have 10 bucks to spend.
I’m thinking 800 for 10$, 1620 for 20$, 2870 for 35$, 4150 for 50$ and 8400 for 100$…
