Playable Ogres in expansion?
They’ve been there at least since launch, and behind their cave is the jumping puzzle Urmaug’s Secret.
Gate of Madness [ART]
Yeah, think I originally saw them a few weeks into playing, when I actually explored Lion’s Arch. Just one of those things that ends up getting forgotten and then popping back up.
…kitten, really? Gonna have to try to get in there now.
…seriously? Hahah, wow. I guess they figured that it wasn’t relevant to the topic at hand. I’d, personally, view it as a spring for more discussion/conversation – perhaps comparisons between the Ogres and Tengu or something.
Also: Yeah, Tengu pretty much have a lock. I’m hoping Ogres are also planned, but only time will tell.
Ogres are pretty lame.
The only difference between males and females are the voices.
Would make for a bad playable race if you ask me.
Do you even lift, bro?
I like ‘em anyway, though they could use some more differentiation, yeah – although, the Charr are also generally masculine-looking, only showing that the female are not-male by the females generally having more graceful head shapes (lionesses as opposed to fugly lionmen). Male Ogres apparently also have spines sticking out of their backs, but not females, so that’s…uh…something. Just not much at all.
The ogres are better suggestion/likeability than kodan, skritt or whatever else been suggested (aside from tengu, tengu is a must and will likely happen). Perhaps a bit too primitive, and I don’t see all that much customisation in them at this time.
We also have groups/individuals of quaggan, skritt, hylek, tengu and such. Being around LA means little in this regard if you ask me.
So yeah atm I find it… not the most likely. But it seems better than certain other races that have been suggested.
Edit: @Anymras: there are more differences to male female charr if you look more carefully, they are infact pretty easy to distinct from eachother. I think asura look more same same than charr does, and they are still have distinctions in the way they look.

I don’t mean just “looking the same”; it is the same model but with different voice!
