Guild Wars 2

So i recently got this game and am downloading and installing it and was wondering how the player base was. Like is there people in most places like starting areas main citys etc. Or is it deserted? Was just kind of curious.

Lion’s Arch is the main city with all the portals, that’s the busiest city and generally is in overflow all day and throughout the evening.

The human starting zone is the busiest of the starting areas because most people play humans for some reason, lol. Other areas have a good amount of players, seems pretty balanced on Sanctum of Rall. You can play in any starting area you like fyi and you will want to at some point to get your map completion.

In my exp most maps are dead but that could be a good thing. Busiest places are what was said above, Lion’s Arch and Queensdale (human starting area). I think the fact that Queensdale is so crowded is probably the same reason I always go back to it. It’s a well balanced and very fun map. IMO MOST maps should be more like it. I also think it’s the busiest map because people know it’s not only fun but also where everyone else goes so they go there just for the larger crowds/comunication with others.

It depends what server you are on really. Some are very dead, others are packed to the brim.

Tarnished Coast (the Unofficial Roleplaying Server for US) is always packed with players in all zones. Of course Lions Arch is always packed as it is the main city for all races to find groups and mingle.

But you’ll find the other cities full as well, especially Divinity’s Reach. Starter areas are pretty much always full as well, along with a few of the other lower areas. The mid level range is a bit low on population, but when you reach the higher level zones, they fill up more.

Like was said though, it really depends what server you play on.
