3rd fractal and doing the fractal wherein you to kill the golem of inquest of inquest Frizz and survive the lasers. Our team died twice during this fractal and I was kicked merely for stating an opinion. All I said was “This is a fun fractal, let’s do it the normal way”. They said stacking is still the fastest way do it so I was forced to follow them since they are a group and I’m just another stranger. We died after that and I told them " Now that we have to redo it again, I don’t think stacking is the fastest way." After letting know the truth, I got kicked and now I feel like sh_t for trying to encourage other people to enjoy the beauty of the game by trying to play it normally. First time to fail this fractal and first time to get kicked out of a party. It was a level 19 fractal so I was expecting everyone to know most of the mechanics in every fractal.

By the way, even though they were hit by the laser 5 times before getting downed, they’re still persistent about stacking.

I spent way too much time to learn everything about the game just to see this kitten to be done to me just because they’re in a group. Unacceptable.

I feel your pain OP. The world is full of jerks, and you are bound to run in to some of them, especially in a video game. Best you can do is shake it off and move on.

Problem is to many people in the gaming community think of take those remarks as you trying to insult them or trolling rather then you honestly just suggesting something. Its always a issue when people can’t hear you say it and use your tone of voice as a reference to read between the lines to its meaning and instead jump to the assumption your being sarcastic or rude.

It happens. Sometimes playing without a tactic is a lot faster, and people can’t see it.

Solution, find a good guild with players who play the way you do. Pugging is the lottery. You can’t expect to win.

Honestly, I would take slight offense at your choice of words. Implying something is not done “normally” by someone usually does little to endear themselves to you or your proposals. Because it can easily be interpreted as condescending.
Either way of doing it is “normal” in the sense that they are both viable approaches with different pros and cons.
I wouldn’t have minded giving it a shot even with your choice of words, but I’d still feel some slight amount of resentment.

Other than that – as I said already – I see what you did as a viable try to make things work better. If stacking does not work for whatever reasons trying a different approach is totally feasible in my book and trying to force something that doesn’t seem to work is either being stubborn or stupid.
There’s one exception however. Basically if you’re trying to learn a specific tactic some stubborness is mandatory. But something like that shouldn’t be forced upon someone who joined a pug unless it is agreed upon before the run starts and preferably already advertised in the lfg tag.

Edit: Typos

If you happen to stumble across any typos,
you may keep them to rear new and interesting variants in your basement.
