A widely agreed-upon feature when I mention it to other people is a visual player-preview function.

There really needs to be a function in which you can, for example, R-click on another player’s icon and open up an outfit-preview window. The dye and wardrobe system in GW2 is really excellent, but other players tend to all blend into each other as a mob or because of size, and it’s also really hard to get a good look at someone else’s outfit in-game. The lighting is also often really wonky because of night, shadows, fire, or what have you and really doesn’t show off the colors as well as the preview-windows do.

It’d be great to be able to notice someone running by and say “Hey. I think that that person looked kind of interesting, maybe.” Target + R-click + Open Preview. “Nice. I like that color-scheme.”.

Let me be clear. I am absolutely NOT talking about viewing other player’s gear-choices & stats. That does no good at all in an MMO, whilst bringing a whole lot of bad. I am talking about being able to see, without a lot of set-up and awkwardness, the visual of the outfits that other players have spent so much time and pride on.

I support this. As long as it didn’t show armor stats/rarity.

I wouldn’t quit if they added the ability to inspect armor, but I really have enjoyed that feature not being included in GW2.

I would also love to see character bios added with this.

Even still, I support this feature. It seems every person I’ve seen out in the open world who looked interesting just suddenly jumped up and started running in circles. Hard to look at them when they are doing that :P

I’d love to have a cosmetic only inspect feature! I’ve often seen someone walk but, love some armor piece they have and want to know what it is, but am unable to check.
