So this has been a little thing that has bugged me since I started playing the game. I love the fashion options the game has and how you can create your own look. However I find my self staring at other players characters a lot when I’m just wandering around towns or something. Whenever I see something cool that I really like, or a piece of armor that I don’t know, I have to whisper that person to find out.

What I want is to be able to view players characters. This way you can see a full model of the character, and what armor they have on. This would really be a great feature. Also having it display dyes and wardrobe collections as well, so you can compare yours with other players. This would be a really useful feature to have, and I have no idea why the game doesn’t have it.

Please give us this feature!

Thanks

I like this idea, as long as it’s only for the look of the armor and cannot be used as a ‘gear check’ system where you can judge other players on the stats, sigils etc. they’ve chosen.

I’d actually like to see an expanded version of this, a bit like the system Ultima Online had back when I used to play it (no idea what they have now).

When you click on a player you see the current bar with their name, guild and title and then a button you can push to open up a window that shows you:

  • What skins and dyes they’re wearing
  • A selection of their achievements chosen by the player
  • A text box where they can write a description of themselves. Role-players could use it to introduce their character, non-RPers could use it for things like what game modes they’re interested in, whether they’re looking to join a guild etc. (Of course this would be subject to the same rules on language as everything else in the game.)

No. It will be used for gear checks and nothing else. Elitists like Bartosz above have enough of a stranglehold over this game as it is. Don’t give them additional tools to lock out normal players.

I agree adding gearcheck would kill somethings, but having it just to be able to see what gear it is, dyes, skins, and not Runes, sigils and such is the best way to do it.

Unless they did it the way I suggested above where other players can only see the skin and dyes you’re using, not the stats or even the name of the base item.

The base view would be a bit like what you currently get in your own dye menu, showing each armor piece, whether it’s displayed or hidden, and the dyes it uses. But then hovering over an armor piece would show only the name of the skin.

This would allow players to see what skins other players are using and how they’ve dyed them to get a particular look but could not possibly be used as any kind of gear check.

I like OP’s idea ^^
Not showing stats or anything just cosmetic and what kind of armor.
But I just got a bad idea on top of that since I like when people whisper me and say they like how my character looks

There could also be a feature where when you “inspect” another players cosmetic you can also check a box for “Like” by doing this you can check the cosmetics later on like ‘What was it that player had now?’ and also players can see how many players have checked the box and see how many who “Likes” or “Tracks” your armor :P Thats alot of work I know but … :P

No you don’t. Wrong thread for you, we don’t want gearcheck.

EVERY MMO is awesome until it is released then its unfinished. A month after release it just sucks.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
