*Bots and hackers —-—-BnH

First of all, i would like to thank those who actually took time to read this post. Secondly, as the thread on bots are locked and i couldn’t add a reply there, i had to start this topic here which i believe, would be locked soon after posting too. So, here’s my long story…

We all know anet have been telling us that they are actually wiping out the BnH daily going by the numbers of thousands onwards, but why do we still see more of them as days goes by? This left me very puzzled. Why am i puzzled, you might ask. Well, first of all, shouldn’t the game have a proper anti hack system which blocks out 3rd party programs to start off with? Have you guys ever wondered if there was any active GM at all in game to address to the reports made every second? How do we actually know if the figures of the bans are real when we keep seeing the same bots at the same location for weeks? Thus, I am not convinced on what anet has been telling us so far.

Next thing is is about the current TP economy. From what i see here, the whole economy has already been controlled by gold farmers ( which leads back to the BnH issue ). Why do i say that? I’m very sure many of you knows where the tier 5 and 6 mats drops most often at, and I’m very sure that you ppl will see loads of bots functioning at these location. I’m also very sure that 99% of the real players have reported against them numerous times, so much so that some even gave up reporting like me. Although anet introduced the DR system to fight against bots, but seriously, bots are bots, they can be run for as long as an entire lifetime till their CPU burst into flames due to over heating, but how long can WE legit players last? Is the DR system really benefiting the legit players? From events to mob farming, the DR system actually affects the legit players more than the bots. You might say do more dungeon runs and sell the equips we find there for gold, but give this a thought, how many of you legit players are able to log in and spend your free time on just doing dungeons alone just to farm enough equips to sell to help you in making your exotic set? This will lead to yet another cycle back to the bots. Players who don’t have much time to play due to work will take ages to farm for that good amount of money to craft what they want for their toons so maybe a minority of them will start purchasing gold from gold sellers giving them business and buying more copies of GW2 to start more bots. Agree?

Now we come to the hacking part. As most of you already know, the existance of speed hacks, teleport hacks, jump hacks etc etc are all over in GW2 right now may it be in PvE or PvP or even WvWvW. These hacks are all third party programs, like cheat engine to name one. and there’s also gZoom which is also a third party software. So why don’t anet start off by installing an anti-hack program like gameguard or something else to remove the simpler hacks first to minimize the amount of hackers, then deal with the more professional ones after that? Its all about number games…. you shrink the amount, then focus on the major ones….players from all over different servers have been flaming each other for hacking and teleporting to orbs stealing them, but why don’t you ppl sit back and think why this is happening instead of just flaming your fellow players? I’ve read posts that says a certain server won’t condone to hackers from their servers and will report them once one have been spotted. How 100% sure can you guys be that your servers don’t actually have one? Yes, it may sound to many ppl that these servers are standing united to fight against hackers, but from my point of view, there will always be a black sheep in the family no matter how much you hated them. As long as anet doesn’t do anything about this, nothing can be promised, the most we all could do is to assist anet by reporting ( provided they cared enough to stop them ).

Let me tell you ppl a very fine example of what is happening to one particular server from the US region.

This server used to be bustling with players, real legit players who farmed their way actively to get their gears. Participating in WvW playing legit and winning most of the wars. Then one fine day, this server met their match in WvW which resulted them to lose very badly, so badly that you cant imagine what the score was. Then we started noticing our opponents from another particular server were actually using speed hacks ( the very first hack that ruined WvW ), our players gave anet time to address to this issues, we frapped, we screen shotted, we reported etc etc, but as days goes by, instead of seeing lesser of these hackers, we see more of them!!! Many players have lost hope, some quit, some just went to play PvE instead. As days goes by, fewer and fewer ppl from the server actually goes into the WvW to fight already. Thus resulting in many active players switching servers which in turn means lesser population here.

This got me so kitten kitten that I’ve decided to go download gZoom and run around in WvW with it. YES, I TRIED THE HACK MYSELF!!! And I’m not going to hide about it either, I made it so obvious in WvW that I’m a sitting duck waiting to get banned. But sad to say, its been 3-4 days that I’ve using it and I’m still able to log into my account even right at this moment. ( probably would get a ban after saying this but well I don’t really care as I just wana get the points to all you ppl who are still helping anet to report) I have even used the hack in one 1v1 fight with a theif from another server recently and after that he even Pm-ed me and told me i was frapped and he’s gonna report me. I’m so glad he told me this info, it has been 1 day since he reported, Im still able to log in. Mind you, he has real solid evidence of me speed hacking and not just a screen shot. Shouldn’t this kind of issues be addressed immediately? To whoever the person was who frapped me, I thank you whole-heartedly for doing this. This way, I can show the community how efficient they are.

Do you ppl see the problem here? hackers when not dealt with immediately, will result to more hackers cos they will start having the thought of “since they don’t punish the hackers, why should i bother?” kind of attitude. I’m very sure exposing myself for hacking will definately cause me to lose all my chances on asking for my refunds, which I’ve already sent a ticket. But its all fine, if anet wants to take my money for a mistake that they are partly at fault, then so be it. I’m really very sick and tired of logging in everyday to see roaming bots in PvE and speed hackers in WvW and sPvP. I used to play the game more than 10 hours daily, but right now, I’d rather spend my time in League of Legends rather than this broken game.

Think of what I’ve said, and ask yourself the same thing. If you still see differently, then you may start flaming me, I will take it with pride.
