I’ve seen some videos of people remote streaming GW2 and other mmos on tablets using splashtop. Was just curious if any other players out there have tried this with any success. I wouldn’t dare attempt to remote stream play pvp, but some simple questing should t be a big deal. If any of you have tried this, what would be some good tablets to do this on?

Its all about connection…, with some software such as log me in or team viewer you can remote your computer from any mobile device. I remember training my crafting skills from work on my Samsung Galaxy S2. It’s not even a table but it runs my remote connection fine and I was able to move my char around a bit and craft things… but like I said,… refresh time for screen can be terrible if your connection is not fast enough.

Zerk is the average Joe build. Don’t pat yourself in the back too hard.

Splashtop streaming gw2 on my iphone is actually really smooth even killing mobs. There’s just no game pad feature for splashtop for phones just tablets so it makes moving pretty difficult. Just wondering what a good tablet would be for this.

GW2 runs great natively on a Surface Pro. It is a PC and a tablet though, so it is pricier. It is $100 off through 8/30.

I own the Surface Pro, Surface RT and Ipads. Personally if you are going to be playing Guild Wars 2, I’d suggest getting a macintosh. The macintosh client support horizontal scrolling, which allows you to move the camera with two fingers… you can effectively mouse turn.

There’s a patent on the mouse touch drivers in macintosh, windows machines can’t achieve full duplex… so you’ll notice you can’t use the mouse and keyboard at the same time.

Just keep in mind though the mac client is really bad in framerate, on my macbook air you will be lucky to get 15 frames in WvWvW. It is still playable and by far the best option in terms of mobility, since playing without a mouse is virtually impossible in Guild Wars 2.
