This was a seriously great idea that I had! The world of GW2 is so rich and awesome, and seeing it in VR was just amazing!

I am so tempted to get one of those, but I like being able to see my character. Yet I think being able to see the world in 3D would be so worth it, given that I find myself being too keenly aware of the ‘flatness’ of the world on my screen.

I recommend you get a Rift, but if you do hold off on trying out something like this. Something like this is best saved for those who are more experienced in VR

I’m curious how you control the game with the headset on. While I don’t stare at my keyboard, and do know how to touch type, I generally have a peripheral awareness of it. I’ve color coded the keys (thanks Razer) to help the important ones stand out, in fact.

I attempted to use an Occulus headset in Best Buy last weekend but the demo model was on the fritz, just said “Loading” and kept setting off the THEY ARE STEALING ME weebleweebleweeble alarm while the store rep had to keep toggling off the false alarm. So I still don’t know how impressive it feels or how much motion sickness it causes. But if someone had GW2 set up for VR play on a computer I could get to, I’d love to test it.
