..is getting more and more frustrating. Have the devs said anything about working on the event scaling? Maybe even toning down mob density and respawn rates when a zone is nearly empty?

I remember this potential issue was brought up, as soon as they started talking about dynamic events. I remember thinking, nah, obvious issue is obvious. Surely they’ll have it covered…

I am tending to play more off peak (UK) as the DE’s are much better when they are balanced for fewer people.
Infact I just posted about this a couple of days ago, how much better the game feels to me now areas are not a total zerg.

imo they shouldn’t scale anything down for playing solo. the lack of scaling is what brings people, guilds, friends together to play.

last mmo i played was completely ruined by scaling, epic quests and raids being solod because it was easier than in a group.

With guesting, this issue should be resolved. I hope they’re still planning on adding that feature, but until we haven’t heard otherwise, I’m expecting it to get added.

Sure, but I’m talking about the zones of GW2. “Peak” is whatever time they tend to be most crowded. “Off-peak” is when they’re not. I’m talking about those times when there is no one around to group with.
