Basically, it’s like playing a game of prediction instead of a game of reaction. Not hard to guess which one is GW2. A player with less ms has far more chances and gadgets to win than a player with delay, who cannot use his interruptions and evades accurately. Is this ever, ever going to be fixed? Can we get some servers for sPvP? Because if your only concern is players from the US and then im afraid in short most LA players would have left this game.

Have you considered that this may be because of your connection? I don’t see rampant complaining from SPvP players about high ping.

Do you think connection matters that much when you play from Argentina? And they don’t complain because they are sure there is no way in hell to change it, so they play it like that, and they get bored, and they leave. Happens too often.

How do you expect them to fix your ping after the packet leaves their server?

This is happening in ALL online multiplayer games. Some players closer to the server,or with a better connection end up having a lower MS then anyone else in the server.Yes it gives them an advantage, but so is life. They have a better connection then you do,they are closer to the main server. So unless youre willing to move close to the server or getting a better connection, theres not much to do then trying to tweak your network by adding TcpAckFrequency, for examp.

Well that is indeed a fine suggestion, but then my point is clear: There is no balance. Now, PvP unlike PvE, except for the skins, has no reason to be tracked since characters already start at max level. Why don’t they let PvP servers be hosted? If cheating is an issue, they AVGuard or some anti-cheat of the kind, and if private servers are the reason then it might even be propaganda por the PvE part of the game. Truth is, even if it would please the players (and this would be the single most important fix to the game they could ever make) they don’t actually give half a kitten about them. Even if they add traps to WvW, 1/4 of the entire server is still playing another game. Why won’t they fix that?

Being Aussie this is a major factor with PvP less so in WvW but still a factor, i generally don’t bother with either parts of the game, because a 400+ ping is a handicap i don’t need..luckily i don’t really like both the modes of play anyway..

Pingzapper? Get that ping down. I live in the Philippines and 200ms is actually good already for our DSL.
