put the correct term in but not everyone has kittens
If you need a tablet that can game, your best bet is going with the surface pro itself. The only problem with tablets is the game is not designed from them at all. Unfortunately you cannot use the touchscreen to move the camera.
The camera moves on my tablet with the touchscreen I just can’t move my character anywhere so I need a keyboard and no I’m not really looking to play the game on a tablet just try it to see if I could.

Masochist much?
Although, this is coming from the person who tested accessing a Citrix Virtual Desktop from a phone once just to see if it would work…
Windows 8 tables (RT not included) are just laptops without a hardware keyboard, so I’m not surprised this works. But yeah, GW2 is obviously designed with a keyboard and mouse in mind so it’s not going to be very playable without those :P
Surface Pro 2 plays GW2, Battlefield 4 and other fairly demanding games surprisingly well.
What is the purpose of playing GW2 on a tablet? I can’t imagine it being convenient at all.
The only way I’d use it is to host my 2nd account to craft/refine items for hours.
I know this post is a bit of a necro, but Im on the Dell Venue 8 pro, and I am completely stuck on the login screen. The circle just keeps turning, and nothing happens. Ive tried doing a dns flush, registering the dns, and manually changing the dns servers to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, and nothing has changed. Ive also edited the drivers file with the command line 174.35.56.164 assetcdn.101.arenanetworks.com.
Not a single thing is making this budge. Any ideas??
Im running this directly off the SSD because I have the 64 gig system.
FIX: After tinkering with everything for a good long while, Ive finally found a fix. I hope this helps somebody out there, googling this
1. Save the guild wars 2 launcher download to your desktop.
2. Run the app in admin mode.
3. Hit crtl + shift + esc and find the app in the task manager.
4. Right click on the app and open the file location.
5. Right click on the real launcher in the tmp folder.
6. Make sure you run this as admin and you should get a new message.
7. This message should inform you of minimum system requirements.
8. Run anyways. Log in and patching should have started this time!
Hope this broke it down enough for yall, and I hope it helps like it did for me.
The game plays very well on my Surface Pro 3. At native resolution, but with all graphics set to low, I get about 25-30 fps. Very playable.
Yeah. Honestly when I start my new job, Im probably just going to sell this thing on ebay and buy a nice gaming laptop.
