If this could be implemented I would be so happy. Right now the only thing that looks weird on my gear is the flame color on my CoF pieces. Blue fire, black fire, green fire, white fire! All those would look so dope.

That would make everything so much better since we won’t be forced to use red armor to match the flames all the time. It makes my characters look so evil…

Then no one would wear anything but fire armor, and CoF (the easiest dungeon) would have the best armor. Makes no sense xD Can’t say I don’t agree that it would be awesome though. If Anet wanted to make it more exclusive they could do something like an “Element of Color” that you need to work up to and can apply to an armor piece.

A lot of color combos can be used with it actually, I know because I have been running around in CoF mixed with Arah armor for a really long time. You don’t necessarily need to pair it with black/red, get creative.

Attached pic is what I normally run, midnight green and abyss with that armor. You white dyes with it if you want.

I see a black blob in the picture. ; P

And I agree, but not just for flames. There are actually many interesting effects on armor that you can’t dye and it’s really dissapointing. I don’t know if maybe it’s just to complicated to implement or what, but it is a bummer.

Better lighting now?

Theres a good chance it might be complicated because these effects are particle effects and not just static meshes/textures like the other dye-able sections on armor.

But yeah, I’m running mine with a mix of arah weaps and armor thats dyed with abyss and some icy blue color so it looks like fire and ice on my thief. Just would be cool to be all ice!

I know the theme of CoF armor is supposed to portray the image of that dungeon, but I think we have been there, done that and are over it.

Let us dye everything imo. Fire from cof, radiant brilliance from the achievement radiant armor, hellfire armor…even the glows on some of the SE pieces.

I wonder actually if anyone on the player side would be opposed to this. This has to be anet thing. Not a great decision imo.

Edit: and what raptor said^

You’ll just have to wait for the “Blueflame” and “Goldflame” armors to come out in the gemstore.

… what? We all know that’s what’s going to happen eventually.

Sarcasm, delivered with a
delicate, brick-like subtlety.

Support.

I don’t think it’ll happen though because it’s actually a really good idea and good ideas are hardly ever listened to, but anyway, I hope one day it happens.

Forever a supporter of more male skimpy armor
