Guild Wars 2

After the recent patch I noticed that the format of the loading screen changed. The picture became smaller and the completion stats moved up leaving a large black space below. I was thinking and in the beta the loading screens had lore on them and I really want them to bring this back into the game. An example of the old loading screen is attached below… Tell me what you think!

I would prefer that screen to the one we currently have post patch which looks like an unfinished trial. Also include the loading bar rather than the spinning wheel of infinity.

I remember during the beta testing they had a triangle on screen saying ’work in progress’ it almost feels like they should include that with the current loading screen.

I like the idea of adding a lore on the loading screen. And you’re right, I prefered the previous format of it. The spinning wheel isn’t a problem to me though.

New lore about the map were entering would be awesome. Especially for those who don’t know to much about it.

Maybe change the title of your post to something more specific so the devs actually see it.

I agree! I would of loved lore books. Also I too do not care about the loading bar, either way it would be nice to have lore.

Hm, as a curious thought, perhaps the large black space in the loading screen is actually meant for something when HoT releases? A bit early to hope, but let’s muse anyway.

For those of you that wish you had a loading bar, add the -maploadinfo to your shortcut

e.g. create a desktop shortcut to

“C:\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -maploadinfo

I loved that flavor text, and I agree with OP. They should bring it back.

The lore is sorely missed. Right now, many locations are just there. Additional lore would convince us to care about them. Scouts do that in a way, but they’re not enough.

Bring back the old loading screens!
I really dislike the black border which is way too big.
Also it will ruin my loading screens collection, which I use as screen savers.
Not too bothered by the loading bar, I just want the picture too be the same size as before.
