Please Do Not Abandon Diversity
It seems pretty diverse with five different races. I understand you would like more choices in regards to humans, and that may or may not be available in the future, but it seems ArenaNet took a slightly different course on giving us diversity at this time.

It really isn’t though, it’s all culturally very standard western fantasy (that is not to say it’s bad).

western?
Races given are not mentioned in fairy tale books. They’re completely made up. they can’t really belong to a culture, when it’s a culture that was completely made up.
I can understand you wanting diversity though. Playing trough Cantha on Guild Wars 1 right now and I’m really enjoying the continent
Honestly bar a few unused Racial traits i see very little Diversity anywhere, everybody feels and plays like a Clone of everyone else…
I guess we have Cultural clothing…

Don’t be obtuse.
Norn are nordic culture. Charr have greco-roman idiosyncracy. Sylvari are the Romantics.
It’s pretty much western civilizations under a different guise.
We have Canthan and Elonian looks in Character creation. My girls (and one guy) are all Canthans.

Indeed, that the continents are not currently available doesn’t mean the aesthetic isn’t. Further, I believe Lion’s Arch have a few characters from those continents (I clearly remember a Canthan male NPC with an “Asian” name.)
Location diversity is strong, its builds diversity that us none existent.
Diversity? Well, we have diverse variations of caricature races.
Cantha, in it’s former state, probably won’t be coming. And I say “former” because it’s very likely that if ANet decides to implement it, they’ll have rewrite the way they mixed together the borrowed Asian customs. In doing so they’ll have to rebuild both the architecture and the societal structures.
