As the title says.

It would be nice to have them treated as collectibles and deposit them like sprockets or toxic spores or ascended mats instead of having to drop each new one you get from Sprocket Generator into the bank manually.

I believe the reason they aren’t collectibles is because initially they were similar to other LS currencies as heirlooms and belongings, but since they’ve been added to regular loot tables in a later patch, it makes perfect sense to turn them into collectibles at this point.

In the next patch (tomorrow) there’ll be a vendor for people to sell their blade shards.
Nobody knows the rewards, but it might be cool.
That means Anet won’t doesn’t have anything for us to do with it in mind.

It’s speculation that it is next patch. I can’t source it as it was an old thread that got locked, but CC Danicia (ANet Staff) posted on a thread somewhere in the LS subforum “Please don’t delete them!”

Im not sure if it was answered that it’ll come this patch. But it’s very likely that it does, since LS has ended. I don’t remember exactly if it was announced this patch, and i don’t know where to search now. But I do believe it will be here tomorrow.
I don’t have 100% cuz i can’t find the source. But hold on to them

Then why did they put them in the loot table permanently, they drop from Sprocket Generator and you can convert them from sprockets in Mystic Forge?
