Yea. Kinda sucked getting it on my lvl 3 necro. If you had a low level character you were kinda screwed. Of course people can help you which is what happened to me. But it wasn’t easy.
I agree, i did this on my sylvari ele., and since i have the tier 2 cultural armor (with the leaves sprouting out of the back) on, it looks bad. It would be nice to move it to my Thief, or ranger.

Not going to bother trying to get it on my lowbie alts.
5 toons lvls 4-8 did it with them all. no guild just waited for help to show up. if your lazy then thats your own fault. if you dont have time then wait for next year.
took me all about 6 hours or so for all 5 complete books.

Funny, I’ve done act 2 with my level 15 elementalist and it was some of the most fun i’ve had in game for a long time exactly because it wasn’t so easy. It felt like a real adventure.
Man it really gets old reading threads all over these forums in which players are requesting and demanding game changes just to suit there situation.
If you want the item on a character, you do it on that character. It was very clear that this was going to be a limited time event. If you couldn’t accomplish that, there is no need to make in game changes to accommodate you.
Such self entitlement demands really gets old.
Poor craftsman blame their tools. Poor players blame their Engineer.

I agree with most of what you’re saying (these things DO get old), but, I’m one of the people that are suffering, in this case lol. I have 1 lvl 80 that I put nearly all my time into. My alts are lvl 5 at the MAX. Doing “mad memories” would be near impossible without help. And, it’s not that I “couldn’t accomplish”, I have the book, don’t I?. The only problem is it looks terrible on my Sylvari cultural armor (the leaves clip through the book). Why not make it possible to give it to a character that will actually USE it, instead of it sitting in bank storage collecting “E-dust”?.
They should find Ludor’s descendants and help them restart the family business.
(in GW1 you’d show your festival hat to this NPC and he would thereafter be able to make one for you and your other characters at any time)

I understand your desires, but you know you can hide it so it doesn’t show? Also I took a friend’s level 10 through the entire thing. It was fun and didn’t take long so a friend could have dragged an alt through that actually could use it and wanted it.
Your alt can always get it through their personal story should they want it as it has the exact same stats as a choice in the personal story.

Sorry, i think i may have been a little unclear. I don’t want to hide it, I LOVE the way the book looks. The problem is the Sylvari Tier 2 armor i’m wearing clips through it, so it doesn’t look good. I know they won’t change it to account bound, and i’m not asking them to, really. I’m just saying that it would be nice if it WAS, so i can use it lol
