I dont understand why people are so hung up on the 1 -80 storyline, and the issues with just having them start as an 80. Make it so you have to have at least one level 80 on your account to make one, and call it good. They dont need to go through the zaithan storyline because to be fair the vanilla story does not matter. Most people skip it REGARDLESS, so forcing people to do it would be redundant…

If that’s the case, then a cosmetic change is all you want and a costume with sound effects is all that is needed and far easier to implement.

No I want them to have a story but the base guild wars 2 story is trash, dont make people play it. The other expansions is safe to make the player character ( in the canon) not be present only show up (in the canon) in the new expansion. But you can go back and play those sections its just really tied to the (canon) narrative. Similar to how GW1 worked, if you came from factions/nightfall your not canon to the prophecies storyline. You can still do it but like overall your not the one in the Canon who did it, I mean revenants are not canon to the Zaithan arc.

Revenants are Canon strictly to the HoT arc, and even then their inclusion is shakey at best. No one refers to you as a rev and in the snuff rytlock is still the only one, as well as the first. So taking that into account In the canon, when you go through the personal storyline as a Rev your just doing it to do it. It in no Way really impacts your story, and your not really “Supposed” to be there.
