Please bring back Living World.
It is coming back. On November 4th.

I said already more than once .. i really miss LS1 .. and i think LS2 is much worse since
i have absolutely no interest in replaying any of these instance so i don’t care really
if its replayable .. and would really prefer we get back to temp content each 2 weeks
instead of 8 instanced episodes over one year and 8 month of breaks between.
Also .. Dry Top is just another farming zone .. and the Instances are more like a
parallel Universe and don’t make the world feel alive.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
Totally agree, I think the Orders are dreadfully underused, when they could actually have useful roles to play that would also really add to the Living World experience.
It’s about time the Orders were brought to life, they are currently utterly static in the game which makes them seem so artificial.

New players do care. Without new players this game has no future because most people aren’t going to stick around long term. It’s ridiculous that they can’t play the past content. Also, for those of us really hardcore players that do stick around long term we might want to be able to replay content because it can be fun. Why take away something that already exists? It doesn’t make it more enjoyable it makes it less because it’s just going to disappear and leave very little impact on the world.
Just because you have no use for it doesn’t mean other people don’t.

Old player do as if they care about new players that may care about not beeing able to
play something that they don’t even know that it exist.
I don’t think they will care that much as others think especially if they would also get
something new every 2 weeks and don’t even have the time to care about what happens
2 years ago.
Its called “living” world .. and that changes and the past is gone.
I’ve seen Grateful Dead once in the 80s .. new people will never have the chance to
see Jerry Garcia .. but would it have been better for that reason if the Dead have
never existed at all ?
And why take away content ? Because the world would be a mess if every thing that
was added in the LS1 would still be there. Ballon Stations, Dragon Statues, the “please don’t touch” things, Scarlet Invasions .. and what the heck else.
It was a “living” world .. what you want is a static world if everything should be forever
in the same stasis.

If you think new players care a lot about old content, then you are sorely mistaken. Just take me and WoW for example because WoW is simply the biggest elephant in the room right now, I joined WoW during the Burning Crusade expansion because I like what they do with the game during that time not what they did 2 years ago, besides the obvious path where the gear treadmill is taking me. I do still go through some of the low lvl content when I am leveling but at soon as I hit the minimum lvl to proceed with the new content, I am off the old content and never gone back. When I do go back to try some of it, I usually be spending hours upon hours trying to get just 5 people to do it with me. This applies to massive majority of the players in the game as well, no one cares about the old content because they like what the developers are currently doing, not what they did years ago. Every time a new expansion is released for WoW, the old maps and major hub city becomes a ghost town, all the old dungeons and raids are abandoned with almost no players even think about doing them. If I am to go back to WoW now, I can be sure that almost no one is doing Cataclysm content anymore because the old content is not what they are interested in, hell, I am sure that I won’t be doing it as well because I never know what is there to like in the Cataclysm expansion, so why do I care about what I don’t know? All I care is I like what they are doing now and I will be involved more in what I liked.
Time exclusive content is also part of the attraction and unique features of an MMO, take WoW for example again, there are tons of time exclusive content and items that new players won’t be able to experience anymore like the zombie attack event, pre-Cataclysm Deathwing attack event, destruction and rebuilding of Orgrimmar, death of Cairne Bloodhoof, pre-flooding Thousand Needles, gates of Ahn-Qiraj, pre-Cataclysm Tanaris just to name a few, did the new players care? Hell no! If they are interested they can asked their guildies about what happened or read about it online. For Guild Wars 2, I instead prefer the Anet to make full use of the Orders and the libraries in game to enrich the game instead of asking players to refer to a wiki page. It is the constant change in the world that makes the different than the static, predictable world of single player game. If you try to take that away from an MMO, then what you are doing is limiting the potential and the appeal of the game, not helping it.
However, that did not rule out permanent content like Dry Top, I am expecting the game world will eventually expand to the old world like Cantha and Elona because that is not just extremely cool to return to the old world after hundred of years, it will create more content for players as well.
Also, I would not call the destruction of LA and the change from Tower of Nightmare little.

I think the complaint was that content was rush out every 2 weeks without polish and everything felt like a bi-weekly achievement grind fest cause it was only available for a very limited time. Also, Scarlet is probably the most hated, annoying villain every to grace the face of Tyria. I mean ugh, talk about over staying your welcome.
