I just play for a few minutes ago and try to do the events that require to knock champion Drake down. I just want to try something so I decide to go into downing state. No one rez me. All they do are nothing but attacking. And it’s not only occur to me, other people who are down in any champion events are rarely being rez. So I think it’s time to upgrade the events in Frostgorge sound so that that place will not become the farming area. People(who in Frostgorge sound) are selfish. (exclude Jormag event. )

Plus make the champ spawn longer so zerg are forced to do other events like coil event

I always self-heal while in a downed state and 90% of the time I rally on my own unless I am assisted, although, I know what you’re talking about I really don’t see a problem.

I’m sure similar complaints have been present regarding the Queensdale Champ train. Regarding this specific post however, I would personally love to see an end to champ farming because one of the main selling points early on was that there wouldn’t be a need for grinding.

The champ train is an obvious indication that the game is in fact all about grinding unless you’re an rng god who gets the best loot simply by playing the content. They got rid of the champ train in Queensdale (and nerfed champs in other starter maps) to send a message to new players that grinding wasn’t the focal point of the game, but it seems deceptive to me that they are only really hiding the sad truth from players until they’ve already experienced enough immersion into the game to stay for a while. My opinion at least.

Then don´t get downed, people who you refer to as idiots apparently can manage that.

I always res people in Dry Top and Orr events (ah well, in almost all maps) and get ressed by them. But if one gets downed in a FROSTGORGE TRAIN used for farming by experienced players and fails to rally when the champ is killed (because killing to let rally is often faster then ressing)… yes, I would most likely think “lolwut?!” and proceed to the next champ leaving you behind to thoroughly think about what you were doing wrong. And once you’re done, to use a waypoint and run that short distance instead of lying on the ground as a decoration.

Nobody is obligated to rev anyone, much less people that willingly let themselves down
If you didn’t rally when the boss melted, it means you didn’t hit it in the first place. Your contribution to the boss was 0.

No, you’re selfish for purposely downing yourself and expecting other players to waste their time rezzing you.

I guess people haven’t learned from Nov 2012. They have other things they need to fix right now, if you want a dungeon-like experience go run a dungeon, making open world events anything at all like dungeons does not work, oh you’d like an example of that okay. Teq. /thread

• So if you aren’t referring to the “holy trinity” of tank/healer/DPS, what on earth do you mean by “trinity”??

• “Choo chee”?? What is this noise you’re making? Do you mean “choo choo,” as in the train sound?
• You can’t stop players from zerging. They are going to do it, if they find it enjoyable/relaxing, and efficient. It’s also a fast way to get a serious chunk of the daily achievement done. There is always going to be some “optimal” sequence of content that people will farm; it is unavoidable.
• It sounds like you want players to stop doing mindless things and be made to tackle more serious content that requires attention and real teamwork. But that is not why people join the Frostgorge champ train to begin with. If it were a hassle, no one would do it. Trying to force a champ zerg to do longer, less rewarding, more challenging events is like trying to add story and role-playing elements to PvP. You just don’t understand what people are playing this content for.

• I can’t remember the last time I didn’t get helped out if I went into downed state, during these champ events. People help out each other all the time. I very rarely see anyone go without being rallied. Perhaps you just had a bit of bad luck?
• Maybe people perceived that you were going into downed state on purpose? Maybe they saw it as a waste of time to rez you if that was what you were doing, or thought you wanted to be downed and not rallied. Or maybe you got downed repeatedly so many times, people were starting to become annoyed at having to rally you over and over?
• As nice as it is that players help each other out so often, it is not required. And getting mad at others for not aiding you in your silly “downed state” experiments isn’t going to help. And to be clear, are you talking about being downed, or dead? Because it takes a lot of time to rez you in combat, if you are dead. There is a waypoint right near where the drake event takes place — you can revive there, and be back at the event in like 10-15 seconds. That also likely factored into people’s decisions.
• If you talk in map chat or /say the way you did in this post, I am not surprised nobody helped you out.

• Are you saying there should not be farming, or a farming area, in general? Or do you just not want Frostgorge to be it?
• The whole tone of this post makes it sound like you are less concerned about the state of the game in general, and more concerned that people aren’t playing GW2 the way you want them to play.

Yeah, I hate those idiots that try to farm champs at Claw of Jormag.
