This is 2013, not the 1990s, please don’t dc.
Internet issues are out of the users hands while fixing this kitten is 100% in anets hands. And please let me know one country that can guarantee 24/7 internet access even in 2013. Or yeah you cant cause there aren’t any.

I’m sorry that you don’t have access to 24/7 internet. Have you tried switching providers or moving to an area that doesn’t have as much interference (less storms, no tornadoes etc)?

First of all it was his group leader that got the dc and not him and secondly a dc can happen for all sorts of reasons, many of them not the player’s fault.
And since these things do happen it is poor game design to do it this way.

Yes you can switch chars on same account, But you cannot replace the leader with a completely new person in case he has to leave or he gets dc. If the leaders account is removed from the group the rest of the grp is kicked out and the instance vanishes.
‘please change this’ is an absolutely horrid title for a post. It gives no information into what the post is about, which means that the people who might have insight into this topic will simply skip it. (Also, it’s 2013, at least start the title with a capital letter)

The internet issues in this game have become so bad, i’m rubberbanding, dcing and teleporting in GW2 when i play it now about 5 – 6 months ago the game ran smooth for me, now its unplayable.
The OP has a valid point. Instant ownership is just terrible. In dungeons, I don’t like it because you see someone else in cut scenes (which when doing your personal story and Arah is a real slap in the face).
At other times, the instance owner can be kicked or even leave without thinking and everyone gets kicked.
Surely there must be a way for an instance to get started and then if the instance leader leaves, have an option for someone else to become the instance owner…of nothing else.
