Hey everyone, maybe not many people care about that , but i would really like to have the login screen we had in the beta back , this one —> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bh2qLcZAUfY

i think its waaaaay better then the one we have now , i like MMOs that have such loginscreens where you enter the “world” before you chose an charakter, now you still have your desktop in the background while you login and its just meh…

and imo that loginscreen looks much cooler to show to your friends when they ask what game you playing , i like how the different maps are shown in the logo and how the music change , it has some kind of epic feel

at least give me an option to chose between these two login screens, once you choose one gw will remember that and that will be used the next time you start it , that would be GREAT

There is no need for that , every active/causual player should be abel to check out the forum/website once a week for updates/news

btw , you can also use the current loginscreen while ppl whoe doesnt give a kitten about the announcements use the beta one if anet implements the option to choose one

I doubt ArenaNet will remove one of their major forms of advertising. I’ve yet to see them on the forums, though. Perhaps, your suggestion to add them will see the light of day. No idea you were serious.

Not sure why you consider this a big deal. Sure that login screen was awesome, but you won’t be seeing it more than a few seconds a day anyway. And let’s be real, your friends won’t be impressed by seeing a login screen if they ask you what game you’re playing.

What Anet should bring back, is the ability to appear offline before logging in.

I don’t see how it matters, to me the log in screen is just something to get through as quickly as possible so I can actually play the game. If I wasn’t sharing the computer with my husband I’d set it to save my email and password and never have to look at it at all.

But on that basis I do prefer the smaller one because it feels less intrusive.

By the way if your friends asked what game you’re playing why would you show them the login screen? Why not show them the actual game?

The original log in screen was better. I loved that sound it made when the insignia showed up on screen before the song played. Watching that video, I got the same chills up my spine when I first logged in the beta the first time.

I was sad when they changed it.
