Please give us an option to turn events, like April Fools, off. It was cute at first but it makes the game unplayable, especially PvP and WvW.

Please let us turn this off. Its very distracting and just plan annoying after the first few minutes. At least let us turn it off outside town (which I assumed it would be).

You can disable the colour filter by turning off postprocessing
Turning off post processing will remove the sepia tone at least apparently.

If it’s the same as last year a way to fix it is to move your computer’s clock back to 31/03 or up to 02/04.
For kitten sake let us turn off this trash. Not everyone give a flying kitten about event and stop forcing everyone take part. This is so stupid from Anet.
I closed the game, the color scheme makes it hard to tell scenery and mobs apart and causes strain on the eyes. A little would be fun, an item would be fun… this is not.
Can’t come back into the game until this is off cause I don’t play this game to make myself physically ill.
If someone could post on the forums when its off I would appreciate it.
PS. I did turn off post processing but it didn’t help much, movement became blurry.

I have post processing off by default – didn’t even realize they did sepia tone too! This is awesome!

Changing computer clock time doesn’t fix anything.
Last year bobble heads were annoying to some people and we wanted the option to turn them off.
Nice to see you listened to people and lumped us with something even more annoying and unavoidable this year. Funny for 5 minutes, not 24 hours.

This is the main thing, why do people not get that there is no harm in it being optional? The people that enjoy it still get to enjoy it, but on the flip side then the people who don’t enjoy it don’t have to choose between suffering through it or not playing until it’s gone.

If they do have a medical condition then indeed they should see a doctor. That said I have yet to hear of a condition where viewing an in game character with their arms out making air plane noises causes medical distress. Like I said, hyperbole and the use of such does not help the person’s complaint.

As a heads up: If you set your post processing from high to low, the color comes back.

I had been wondering what I was going to do tonight. It looks like playing game has been taken off the table for me. Hell, if I had know this was coming, I wouldn’t have picked up some gems earlier today…

So i have 1 day free a week, and the 1st.IV is one of those days, and i want to play.. but i cant..how can a normal human play with that sh0t in his face… maybe fun for those 3 years old kids.. not for ppl who seek relaxation.. Make it possible to turn it off!

It isn’t an event and was not intended to be. It is a April Fools for one day. They do this kind of thing every year. You will live trough it I promise.
Game is an annoyance to play. Did my dailies and logged off. Terrible idea not to have a toggle.
When you do things right, people won’t be sure you’ve done anything at all.

Yea logged in noticed it was like this on every character to the point of not being worth playing. Logged out, let me know when it gets changed back.

What flickering effect? I didn’t see it when I was in game. I spent a good 20 minutes running around and the only thing I noticed was my character’s arms were out and made airplane noises. Also I’d like to see you provide sources from peer reviewed journals that prove what you are saying.
