The only reason why I am currently writing this right now is because I have nothing else better to do while waiting for my party at the dungeon entrance.

I think he meant “Dueling”.

But we already have dualing! You can have almost any weapon in your off hand, depending on your class!

Not only is there dualing, GW2 supports QUAD CORE processors as well!

… joking aside, yes, it would be a nice feature; but it’s not that urgent.

I hope they never add in Dueling. Make no scene why they would be thinking about adding in Dueling now when they already made you nameless in WvW to prevent harassment. The winner will rubb it into the face of the looser call him/her a noob , the looser will cry that the only reason he/she lost is because the other person was using noob tactic etc… Best part is while I’ll be trying to quest or make a transaction with a npc some poor sap will run up and try to duel me like I got a big neon sign on my back saying Please duel me.

This may be lame…but I want Dueling simply because of the RP implications. You can really take RP to the next level when your characters can fight. Storylines can be altered by wins vs losses in fights (between serious RPers).

Sure, why not. But only if we implement a winner takes all the loser’s gold and equipment rule. I want my win to feel more than just a “Congrats, you beat a noob” and I want the loser to feel the sting of losing – otherwise, every one with an axe to grind would be challenging everyone for a duel. In fact, I would love it if they implement not only the winner takes all rule, but add-on that X% of the loser’s xp and gold earnings for X days goes to the winner. A Servant system per se.

Make dueling worth it for those of us who know we’re going to be kickingkitten taking names, and giving those names away to other people whom’skitten we’re going to kick. I want players to feel my digital boot so high up theirkitten that they’d have to type “/beanbagchair” before they use the “/sit” command.

If they do add dueling I certainly hope its in restricted areas.. In the many arenas, PvP area.. Etc… Open dueling all over the world is just annoying..

Only if they add an auto decline option for lame dueling spam.

Yes! Please add some sort of sparring system! I have a few friends who would like to 1v1 me for fun!

Sometime in sPvP people will get angry and yell “1v1 BRO, 1v1!! COME ON BRO”

If a dueling system gets rid of these people, please, by all means. Or, alternatively they could hurry up with the custom sPvP servers..

I was shocked that there was no dueling option when I first got the game. One of my favorite past times in an MMO is to duel with my friend, mainly to test builds or just for the hell of it. Wouldn’t mind getting this implemented

On the one hand, I do occasionally enjoy dueling in MMOs with friends to test our skills against each other, or even in player-organised tournaments.

On the other hand, I can live without the idiot kiddies who go around spamming duel invites (usually against people much lower level than themselves) and who then spam abuse or emotes at anyone who declines their invitation.

So on balance, I’d be in favour of ArenaNet adding a duelling system – but only after they’ve added a system to automatically detect and ban morons. Sound fair?

IDK what dual-ing is, but the ability to challenge people to a duel in the mists would be great.
