Anet, just erase the dome. Don’t ignore your players.
Yup the honeycomb floor is super annoying
o_O I didn’t think I may be colorblind…then again most men are a little. This is a sexist update! It favors women. The thing that’s gotten me several times is the gimmick where liadri is at 5% and you get pulled into an unavoidable mortality with the aoe 1/2 second from raining down.
Exactly my thought. Same thing can be said to a lot of jumping puzzles. Camera bouncing off environment makes the game difficult, not the game design itself being challenging. That is simply “cheap tactics”
What if the environment is part of the challenge?!?!?
What if the environment is part of the challenge?!?!?
I actually like it when the environment matters in a fight, but the interface is not the environment, and the red/blue indicator circles (and the camera) are are part of the interface. It is never okay to make something more difficult by making the interface unclear, that would be equivalent to giving a painting deeper meaning by blocking out parts or music by garbling up the sound.

Yep the floor really would be much more readable if it was just one layer rather than two. And I’m a non-colourblind woman so it’s not just men getting it.
I can’t beat that sniper boss for the same reason, meh :/
I’m not colorblind and still fail to see the AoE circles many times -_-

you could still have a dome, just make it so the area you can walk in is smaller than the edge of the dome
Or instead make it a cage.
It does need something sealing it off, though. Otherwise mesmers would be able to port people into their fights.
But I didn’t shoot the thackeray
What if the environment is part of the challenge?!?!?
It depends on what they part of the environment they intend to make challenging. Some ideas in that regard can be clever and fulfilling. Others can be downright idiotic.
For example: Battles that have open edges along the sides, or platforms that you have to jump to, etc are clever and fulfilling. If you make the wrong move, you can fall off the edge and plummet to your death, so you have to play smart in order to win.
However, then compare it to this event. In this event, the “challenge” of the environment is that the floor is designed in such a fashion that certain individuals with a natural handicap are entirely unable to see the AOE indicator (not everyone, just certain individuals), and so that your camera bounces off the side of the environment if you get too close to the edge, and generally goes crazy because of the shape of the arena.
That is in no way, shape or form clever or fulfilling. It would take a raging fanboi of epic proportions to try to spin that as anything other than a mistake that one would hope would get hotfixed before the end the event, so that everyone could have an equal chance at winning, not just those lucky enough to not be colorblind.

Ahhh good point. Clever.

Also a good idea.
Yeah, enough with really spaztic camera angles Arenanet!!!
