I just bought the “Infinite Watchknight Tonic” hoping to play around with it a bit and it only lasts for 5 mins with a 30 min “Recently Transformed” cooldown. Aren’t these items supposed to be for fun and even if its a combat tonic it doesn’t negatively affect balance in any way. I don’t see why it needs to be so long and couldn’t be brought down to ~15mins or less. It just seems unfair how long we have to wait between uses for something that only lasts 5 mins and ends on death/zoning.

Well, I hope all consumables that have similar cooldown effect.

Tho I hoped they had 5+ min cooldown instead, perhaps 10 minute cooldown would have been more suffice…

I’m a casual PvE adventurer, I enjoy combat, adventure and helping, but not farming.
I rarely do PvP or Hard PvE, unless it’s organized.

I just dug my Infinite Watchknight Tonic out of my bank to have some fun with it, and was freshly reminded why I never use it.

The 30-minute cooldown is absurd and reduces the value of items like these to near zero.

Is it too much to ask that this problem be revisited and reconsidered — assuming it was ever considered at all?

Sorry for the negative tone, but neither Google nor the wiki offer any explanation for this, and absent some compelling explanation from the developers, it just doesn’t seem reasonable.

No one outside of the Anet devs knows why they gave it such a long cool down to re-use.

When it first came out the cool down on it got a lot of complaints but I don’t think we got any responses to it then, either.

Until we get an official response the only possible explanation is that they don’t want us to have the transformation on 24/7. For some strange reason that’s a big problem.
