The Topic pretty much explains it. I kinda hate to see that one of the “biggest” rewards from the achievement rewards when it comes to transmogs, is that its not possible to dye them. Making them pretty much useless unless you’re running a White/Gray look.

I’d love if you anet made them dyeable, atleast make the “standard gray metal” be dyeble so it doesn’t break most looks, couse admit it. Kinda looks off, on other colors.

So what do you guys think? Leave a comment.

Regards, Pelf

I agree completely.
I can understand if for whatever reason the glowy bits can’t be dyed but please consider making the metal bits dyeable.

Maybe look at profane set as well. For 500 gems it is disappointing that if you mix and match piece’s and exclusively dye in one colour, the profane pieces are inconsistent in colour matching. Every other mix and match piece will be the same colour, the profane pieces come out matt in appearance and about 17 shades lighter in colour. It’s not game breaking, but the armour does require gem purchase.

What’s wrong with profane? I use it for a futuristic Tron appearance with electro dyes and it looks fine to me?

I mostly play for the new Free-For-All arena in PvP lobby.
….. And Elementalist.

I noticed this as well.
It takes a bit to find a way to get the color you wanted on it. Sometimes it’s a bit impossible. There are quite a few pieces that change the colors of the dyes. Though sometimes it’s the dye itself. Solitude dye is a great example. On some things it’s a rich dark purple. On others it’s dark blue. It’s just how things go I guess. ^.^

I believe that its a restriction of the game engine that you can’t dye particle effects. At least that’d be my guess based on the fact that there isn’t a single one in the game that you can in fact dye.

But I could definitely get behind at least letting you dye the non-particle effect metal parts. Seems kind of odd that you can’t, unless they just wanted the Radiant and Hellfire sets to match completely and couldn’t figure out how to let you dye the Hellfire set or something.
