Please, make the footsteps more visible!
If your not first, your last.
This would be nice for HOPE, too. It’s a shame that the footsteps only last for like 1.5-2 steps before disappearing while Twilight, Kudzu and Meteorlogicus last for like 10+ steps.
Adding some sort of an aura to the new ones would be nice, too, but I know that’s asking for a lot lol.
(Although, considering that the new legendaries are more expensive AND require more work than the original legendaries on average, it only makes sense that they should have at least the same amount of visual perks as the old ones, if not more.)
I own Nevermore, and I completely disagree with you.
Nevermore is one of the most pleasant and natural looking weapons in the game. A year ago, I so helplessly tried to convince myself that it’s just an expensive skin that everyone is going to have due to the limited pool of gen 2s to pick from. But it’s everything I ever wanted out of a Legendary, and I couldn’t be happier. I have a metric crap ton of expensive skins, and expensive dyes as a person that will grind for fashion, but I’ll only use what looks right to me.
In fact I have plans to make all the gen 1 legendaries slowly and skin my regular things over them, because I just want to switch stats. All of that’s just preference though.
What’s not preference is that this skin is already made. People made it for various reasons, but I made it because it’s something I love seeing, and I watched countless videos and stalked various people before I started making it. Not looking at the most expensive skin in the game before you make it is not a reason to arbitrarily change it on me and anyone else who likes the way it was originally made, forever.
HOWEVER! If they make a toggle for footfalls, then all is well in the land and we can both have the looks that we desire.

The toggle idea is interesting. Options are always a good thing. Personally I like it when the footfalls last longer. One legendary I own is Howler, and I was always disappointed by how short the footfalls were on it. In contrast another legendary I own is Frostfang, and I like how the footfalls are distinct and longer lasting. The short footfalls on the newer legendaries is part of the reason I haven’t been too excited to pursue crafting any of them yet.
I never understood why the footfalls weren’t the same duration for all legendaries

Simple: Gen 2 legendaries added the arm effects, and reduced the duration of footfalls, as a deliberate design decision. (If I was asked to speculate, I’d guess it was done to reduce visual noise.)
Yea but even on gen 1 legendaries the footfalls aren’t all the same length
