Today I saw someone with a GW2 t-shirt in game… Wallet in hand. How do I get one of these?

It’s a quest reward.

In order to find it, you will have to perform a series of devious challenges. First, collect a few brown rocks for me. Then, defeat a kitten Skale. Then, pilfer the lost staff of Mount Schuler. THEN you shall bring me the head of the Destroyer of Worlds, and THEN YOU SHALL DANCE FOR MY ENJOYMENT! HAHAHAHA! HAHAHAHA—"

Redeemable codes for this item were given out at events held by ArenaNet during the weekend after release.

Unknown number of promotional codes were also planned to be given out at Guild Wars 2 booth in gamescom 2012, but were instead distributed to European fan sites to give away.

20 of them were also added as a Honorable Mention reward for Halloween Diorama Contest.

So in other words you need to be really lucky to find an unused code and someone willing to part with it.

That’s definitely upsetting to hear. So in other words only a few people have this and will likely never be given out again?

I’d like to add that they did hand out codes for a while at gamescom 2012, but stopped doing it becouse of the booth getting overcrowded/safety concerns.
