With the new Captain’s Airship in Gendarran Fields and it’s pass, I’ve been on and noticed that there are more services on there than the Royal Terrace in Divinity’s Reach, yet they both cost the same in gems.

I think so one doesn’t feel more redundant over the other, add the Activity NPC, a full merchant (the one in Royal Terrace only sells salvage kits up to fine for example) and full guild NPCs etc. It just feels that the 1,000 gems spent for the Airship pass gives you more than the 1,000 gems for the Royal Pass to me. Do I really have to buy both?

I know this seems menial, but when I went to Royal Terrace to use the mystic forge, I wanted to make 5 Mystery Salvage kits, only to find I had to zone back to Minister’s Waypoint and back to get the higher rate kits, and the Royal Pass is suppose to eliminate this inconvenience altogether!

lol! Well, if we’re playing Top Trumps, there’s the Vigil Keep instance right outside the airship full of burly, well trained soldiers and a reasonably priced kitchen menu.

But, I’m talking about what’s inside the areas for your convenience, so you have everything in one place when you double click the ticket which is what both the Royal Terrace & The Captain’s Airship are designed for.

To be honest neither are really worth what they charged for merchants and everything to be right there. Not like running/porting around towns costs you anything anyway other than 20/30 seconds. Shameless money grab tactic is all it was imo.

That aside they should probably add the higher kits to it. Might have been a slip on their part and no one has caught it (however unlikely) till now.

Is the character you are interacting with the vendor of an appropriate level? Some vendors react to the level of the character that is addressing them. If you can only buy Fine Salvage kits, then maybe the Merchant Vendor in the Terrace is one of such Vendors.

As for the other NPCs, I suppose that would be nice….

I want the daily activity npc on the terrace – i bought the permanent pass a while ago

The two passes, and all future passes, should provide Identical utility. Upgrade Please.

Or perhaps the improved services in the Airship are further proof of the chicken marketing of the new item.
