Plz let us to get ascended without crafting.

Someone explain to me what is so heroic about crafting that it is arguably the only reasonable way to get the best items.
If you needed drops from the most challenging events maybe, but the way it is is just lame, grindy and uninspired. And not a task for a hero but a peon.

+1I think basically they all feel as though just because they have endured through and earned it from repetitive, boring, menial tasks and that no one else can earn Ascended through tasks they enjoy.
Understandable, although GW2 was supposed to be about having fun.
Ya, I can’t believe I endured 30 minutes of clicking a few button to level crafting. Not to mention I have to click 5 more button after I reached 500 crafting.

How is that a troll. Crafting takes 30 minutes. You are just bsing because you haven’t wvw enough to get enough material. So you just want the easy way out.
Really how many people have ascended gear. Just because people craft don’t mean they can afford ascended gear.
The fastest guide I found on crafting 0-500 takes an hour assuming you have all the mats (or gold to purchase the mats)

I’m sorry but Crafting is just Dirt cheap in this game, and compared to other mmos its the most user friendly and casual experience ever with nothing ever going to waste. I’ve tried and hated crafting in any other game but GW2 actually makes it worth while to spend the 5 mins a day to look up discoveries to make something that was stored and organized for you.
Crafting to 500 is a long, tedious, expensive process. Comparing to other MMO’s, I find the crafting process extremely tedious in GW2. I despise it and is the sole reason I do not have Ascended armor, nor am I planning to ever start working on it. It’s about as much fun as watching grass grow and since I play a game for fun, I won’t be doing this process (yes, I did try it with weapons resulting in my lack of enthusiasm for ever doing it again).
An alternative method to obtain this gear would be happily welcomed.

I said farming gold/material is the hard part. “Crafting isn’t”.
You’ll need to wvw for thousands of hours and do daily everyday to "cough cough afford " crafting.
1-400 you can do in 20 minutes. 400-500 you have to decide if you want to speed it up by spend more money. And since you have so much fun with wvw I’m sure you don’t have a problem with your stacks of dragonite ore.

It could cost a large number of laurels/ectos/badges etc. I don’t care, because I would still feel like I am being rewarded for my efforts in WvW, rather than exluded from the reward because I refuse to craft.
Other MMORPGs give PvPers best gear rewards for PvPing. It just makes sense for GW2 to have it too.
Until this is implemented I will be taking my business elsewhere, to a company that knows how to reward it’s PvPers.

in PvP, BiS gear is free. Anet considers WvW part of PvE.

Start comparing what’s comparable. The two links are comparable. You lost that argument, don’t change the comparison after you lost it.

Which mats are you referring to that are needed for ascended crafting and dont drop in wvw? I earn lots of gold/loot during a regular guild raid.

I’m not sure what your point is, but I’m pretty sure you don’t have one and are just trying to pick a fight for the sake of it AKA: Trolling.
Everything you have said is irrelevant and beside the point. The big picture is forcing PvPers in WvW to craft/grind gold/mats/anything that does not require the act of PvPing.
WvW is the only end game PVP with vertical progression, therefore it makes sense to reward the players for PvPing without the need to craft.

Yes ascended gear require an absurd amount of gold. I get it. I felt the pain too. It takes a really long time to get it. You’ll need to spend a really long time to get it.
And if you read my suggestion, I already said to make the inscription, and the two parts sellable. “So people who hate crafting can stop complaining!”.
But you still need to grind the gold dragonite ore, empyreal crystal yourself. mystic forge those 4 parts and voila.

This is why MMORPGs stay what they are. There are enough people who want it to feel like a second job so they can get the feeling that they’ve accomplished something meaningful while playing a video game. Combine them with the people who grit their teeth and say “it’s a necessary evil, because that’s just the way MMORPGs are” and there’s no pressure on developers to come up with better ways to engage players.
So those of us who don’t fall into those camps try the occasionall MMORPG because we like the idea of playing in a community, but ultimately head back to complex, deep, challenging single player games where loot isn’t just handed to you, but it’s not locked behind endless repetition, either.
I honestly think 500g is a fair price for BiS gear. Even the length of time to farm for 500g is fair for a set of BiS.
I really think people have become completely spoiled when it comes to progression. 200hrs in-game time to get BiS is completely reasonable. I’ve logged more hours into Skyrim…

A good chunk of the community seems to have no interest in expecting ArenaNet to follow through with anything they say.
