Guild Wars 2

Hi all,

I’m coming back to GW2 because of PoF. I played before HoT during 4 or 5 months with a ranger, leveling it to 80. I did not enjoy the profession a lot. I want to create now a heavy armor character to make it my main and play PvP, the old Tyria content, HoT content and PoF content with it.

I’m having serious issues to make my choice between the three heavy armor professions. I want to level the character alternating the PvP (and WvW) and exploring the open world and dungeons content when i get tired of the PvP (or after 2 or 3 defeats XD).

I would like to ask to the experienced guardians, warriors and revenants what is their play style and role nowadays in PvP and PvE, and how do they believe this would change with the new specs incoming with PoF.

About me: Really love DPSing (i know there is no holy trinity here). I am aware that the three professions make their best at melee range, but i enjoy having the REAL possibility of making damage from far away in PvP, WvW and PvE, and i say REAL because of the Meta Status of each Profession ranged weapons. In particular, i loved the DH spec from HoT.

I would like to have the opinion of experienced players in those 2 points (DPSing and ranged damage) to help me making my choice.
